ZOS, give us a trade forum for consoles

We've known from the start that the guild store system is terrible, but the problem has been even worse on consoles with no text chat for trading and most guild stores being practically empty. Your mods keep locking every post about trading or buying/selling items with the response:
We are closing this thread because, as stated in this Crafting introductory thread, trading threads aren't allowed on our forums.

Please use the Guild Kiosks in-game if you want to trade with other players.

The system we have does not promote player interaction or trading at all. Maybe, just maybe, six months from now when the guild stores have actually been populated with decent stock, we'll be able to effectively use them - but that isnt the case right now and you're just creating more animosity amongst your player base by snuffing out any attempts at ingame economy.

We all realize that, if you had actually gone the auction house route, this wouldnt be an issue. Failure to listen to the players in the first place put us in the situation we're dealing with now, dont continue to ignore your customers.

A set of trade forums for PS4/Xbox1 where these threads arent constantly being locked would do your image some good, and you definitely need it at this poitn.

The guild kiosks work awesome. I've had 12k in 5 items sell already today. Most people who don't like the system just played the old "I don't like it so I'm taking my ball and going home" attitude and didn't work within the system.

The guild kiosk system prevents global inflation and ESPECIALLY combats bots/gold spammers in a huge way.

Now, with the lack of a chat box on consoles I would agree with you that folks need an alternative to the kiosks maybe.

The guild trader system works great for sellers, but not buyers. If you are part of trade guild, simply place your 30 items on the trader and let it take care of itself. If you want to buy, however, you have to travel between 20 zones and 100 traders just to have a chance at maybe finding the item that you are looking for.

What they need to do is keep the guild traders and their locations, but also have a single regional kiosk in the main trading city where you can access all regional guild traders from, without having to travel and search all over creation.

The only players who don't want changes made to the system are the ones that run, or are part of, the major trading guilds. What you people don't realize is that there already is a global auction system in place, you just have to travel all over to access it instead of it being in one spot.
Can't find the items you are looking for? Need a place to trade? We welcome ESO players of all platforms at ESO Trade, the home for trading of goods and services in the lands of Tamriel.

This is the problem I'm talking about. Just a couple days ago, I spent probably half an hour looking through every guild trader I could find on PS4-NA to find a stack of flax in order to craft gear for an alt, and still came up empty handed. The guild kiosks just arent populated enough with items yet, and even on PC this was always somewhat of a problem unless you were in 3-4 trading guilds with 500 members each to have ready access to a good stock of items.

The real reason they use this limited kiosk system, rather than a global search, is because the way they've set up guild stores doesnt allow their servers to handle search queries without binding things up. Jessica Folsom stated a while back that some addons/mods on the PC version, which rapidly search dozens and dozens of different guild stores to find a particular item, cause a great deal of lag and strain on their servers.

A better system needs to be in place for buyers that doesnt require us to browse through dozens of kiosks to find a paritcular item or material. Until that happens (which will probably be never, considering how stubborn ZOS is on going back with their faulty systems), a trading forum is needed.

Maybe if they made us able to shop through ALL guild kiosks at once in a convenient location this would solve itself?

That would be nice, but not likely to happen. The tears from the trading guilds would create a flash flood that would wipe out all the lands of Tamriel....

Yes I have made my own thread on this as well. I agree that we console players need a trading system better than what we have now. I dont care if I have to browse through 100 guild stores, just let them be in one place then. As mentioned stocks are not up and prices are insane right now..

You need to agree on an external website and start using it. This one came up in search, I think I saw another one, but I can't find it now. Pick one, spread the word, organize it yourself if ZOS refuses to help. :)

I happen to run that site that you linked. It would be nice if everyone picked one to use so it would gain a lot of traffic and make buying and selling much easier. Even if I don't get as much traffic as I'd like, the site isn't going anywhere. I'll keep it open until either Zenimax implements a trade forum, or ESO shuts down.
