Is it worth to be a vampire as a stamina assassin NB? Because stamina regen and Undeath mitigation passive...

I will not really use active skills...
And werewolf is out of the question since i will not waste a ultimate slot because the regen... I will use flawless downbreaker

So, its a vampire or nothing. What you guys suggest?

WW will give you 15% stam regen without having to use any ultimate slot or skill. Vamp will only make you sparkle and burn.

    Anyone?

As vampire i have mitigation, stamina regen and speed with stealth, which is good for my plystyle.

As werewolf i will have 5% more regen.

Unless you plan to use clouding swarm, vamps a waste that will get you torched. Vamp is a high risk-high reward playstyle that involves used skills. If you want regent, go ww. The dark stalker passive alone is worthless.

Frankly, vampire is not as big of a sacrifice as it use to be. You can mitigate a lot of fire dmg with Champion Points and nirn trait (if you have the money). The passives are very strong, even if you're not using the skills.

There's only one major annoyance with vampire, you will always be instagibbed by Snipers due to Camouflage Hunter 2-3 proc's from sneak. Nothing you can do about it, while that little hiding *** attacking you from 50 meters away thinks he's awesome lol.

Stamina DK + templar are also sorta forced to go vampire for Mist Form escape. Otherwise they die to fast in PvP. But you play NB and have cloak for escape and best stamina recovery for endless dodge, so I dont see the need to vamp really. You might also be a PvE'er mainly. So I'd say WW is better for you, slightly more stamina recovery.

Bosmer + Nightblade + Werewolf + 7 Medium Armor = nearly 100% bonus stam regen then focus all your CP and jewelry on stam reduction and you will never have any stam problems.

I play a Khajiit NB vamp and love every bit of it. Any of the negatives can easily be negated by some skill upgrades and gear. Here's a idea of how I have been running it and whats been working for me:

PRIMARY WEAPON: DUAL WIELD – SWORD & DAGGER

    Assassin's Blade (Killer's Blade)

    Death Stroke (Soul Harvest)

    Flurry (Rapid Strikes)

    Shadow Cloak (Shadowy Disguise)

    Teleport Strike (Ambush)

    Veiled Strike (Surprise Attack)

    SECONDARY WEAPON: BOW

    Arrow Spray (Bombard)

    Bat Swarm (Clouding Swarm)

    Grim Focus (Relentless Focus)

    Mist Form (Elusive Mist)

    Snipe (Focused Aim)

    Summon Shade (Dark Shades)

    ALTERNATE ABILITIES FOR SWAP-IN (PVP)

    Mark Target (Piercing Mark)

    Gear

5 pieces of Medium Armor: Hundings Rage
1 Medium and 1 Light Armor Piece: Night's Silence
    All Weapons: Night's Silence
    Jewelry: Shadow Walker
    Armor Enchantments: All Max Stamina
Weapon Enchantments: Poison Damage (DW) Fire Damage (Bow)
    Jewelry Enchantments: Reduced Stamina Cost

Hopefully this helps you out some.

Sneak everywhere really fast. 10% Magicka AND Stamina regen. I don't use any of the skills but those passives are too good for a Nightblade focused on PvP. The rest of the passives are just as good.

Fire damage isn't for everyone. My Templar would agree with that but you're a Nightblade? Well you shouldn't be anywhere near siege fire, you should be behind the weapons 2 shotting the siegers.

    Edit: ALL of the siegers.

Can't argue this. That said, if you can survive Veterans Ranks PVE or PVP as a Vamp, it really definitely make you an overall better player than most, imo.

What i've learned from playing as a vampire,

Anything that does fire damage is to be feared.

I was killed by scamps a few days ago, embarassing. Im a dunmer too.

As long as you feed to keep the fire dmg and health regen down you should be good.

feeding has no impact on fire damage.

There is no point in feeding, you get the best out of vamp at stage 4. Get better gear with the right specs to negate the negative abilities of vamp and level it correctly. You wont have that many issues.

In my opinion, vampire and PVE don't belong together. If you're focused on PVE I don't see why the dark stalker is really even that relevant to you? You should definitely be werewolf.

Just echoing everyone else, go werewolf and forget about vampire. For the most part vampirism isn't all that great for PvE and is more a PvP thing. That being said, you seem to have already made up your mind and are looking for justification.. so just go vampire and see how it suits you.

You may get extra mitigation as a vampire, but you will also be affected by Fighters Guild passives and +40% fire damage.

Necro... but for those who Google and come across old threads... this new information might be useful.

With update 1.7, WW passives will now require you to be IN Werewolf form... so WW is no longer beneficial to those who don't plan to run around in WW form.

Vampire... Fire damage reduced to 25%, Drain Essence changed to health regen only but can use on same target multiple times and can also now use it on CC immune targets. Also, I see people here talking about how stage 4 vampirism is 'where it's at' but the only thing stage 4 gets you is a cost reduction to 'vampire abilities' and then only 21% reduction... but at the cost of health regen (and your character gets uglier).

Vampire passives... 10% increase to Magicka and Stamina regen (with Vampire ability slotted), increased damage mitigation with lower health, faster movement in stealth, etc.

I'd say with 1.7 update, Vampires reign once again! :)

You get the passive stamina regen if you have the Ultimate slotted, regardless of whether you're in form or not.

Ah, thanks... missed that in the notes. Still, it takes up an Ultimate slot for a skill you may not use. Also, doesn't these type of 'slotted' passives require it to be slotted on BOTH bars- otherwise, wouldn't you lose the passive if you switched to a bar that didn't have the ability slotted?

Yep, that is correct. The intent is that you should only bother becoming a werewolf if you actually intend to use the ability, otherwise there's no reason NOT to be a werewolf since you got the passive for "free" before.

Thanks @Lokryn That is what I wanted to clarify. I think it is the right call for ZOS to make, after all, a player should become a WW or Vamp if they wish to BE ONE, not just to give themselves a free buff.
