I dont think class changes should ever be an option. Players need to learn how a class' abilities work, and that means playing from the start with the same set of abilities.

However, I do want to see a faction change option come up in the future, as well as race change. I primarily play dominion, but I have characters in all 3 factions. I have a 36 dragonknight in the pact that I'd love to transfer over to the dominion to save myself some levelling time, and because I really like how that character wound up looking, but she's stuck on a faction I almost never play on because my guildmates and friends are all dominioneers.

I'm not sure why people can't see how much time would be needed to actually implement a faction change and how improbable one appearing would be. Furthermore, leveling a character from 1 to 36 take a few days at worst if you play a few hours each day. Take a screen shot of your character and remake her, it will literally save you months of wishful thinking and ultimately your money if they do implement a faction change system, for whatever reason.

Also, that MMO which was mentioned….don't compare this game to that one. -.- It's an insult to this game, imo.

Hardly, comparing games to highlight differences and similarities between the two alongside potential changes isn't insulting or degrading. For example, I'd like a shared achievement system and make reference to GW2 as they have, in my opinion, an optimal achievement system in place to use as a reference. I don't want a carbon copy, but I highlight what I feel would benefit ESO if implemented. That being said, some people do compare games and expect changes ASAP and start threads with 'this game is better because'... This sort of individual is really just tiring to read and posts more or less counterproductive suggestions.

this ... it works well for WoW ... paid for faction and race changes, but never a class change
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

I wouldn't pay to change my class (just like I wouldn't pay to change my race and faction). If offered in the crown store, it very easily promotes fotm builds.

I can understand no race change and especially no class change. However, I think its time we got an in-game appearance change feature. Whether its with gold, crowns or both.

    Oh so very yes!

Previous ES games your class spoke to what skills you leveled first or fastest ... it was only a relative limitation.

if classes were more specialized and numerous I could see this, but as it is you can build towards most styles within any class, you just won't be the bestest at one thing outside of one class and race combo. just have fun making another character, and if you don't want that one for combat anymore you can play it for crafting and such.

Sure, abandon your old class and start a new one at lvl 1. Granted with all your other non-class skill stuff intact. I think race change is idiotic, I've had to give up my NBA dreams because I'm a short white guy. Just accept what is or re-roll. I'd be ok with gender change tho, at least once anyways. Snip-snip!

    No, no, no.

You can have a different class - re-roll a new character. You can be another faction - re-roll a new character. You can change your race - reroll a new character.

It's an RPG, leveling up a 'character' is fundamental to the game. Any option to skip or avoid that process defeats this. Why not start everyone off at v14?

Yes, because I'm going to start an entire character, lose all the progress I've made on one, and pretty much throw out the countless hours I've put into this character just because I realized that I made a mistake in choosing my race.

Ok so if you reached VR14 and suddenly decided you want a different class......

What would be your suggestion to deal with the fact you suddenly have a whole new set of class skill, totally untrained?

How about a immersive quest style tutorial fitting to the new class. Like you join a monastery and a master shows you the way of a Dragon Knight. Or you tag along with a reluctant order of Templar and go from newbie to accepted member as you advance in skills.

I think there are ways to show people the ropes that are immersive and interesting to learn a new class rather then just dumping skills and skill points on someone.

    Yes.

Not personally no, but I see no problems having it in the Crown Store for others to purchase and do so if they wish.

There are already thousands and thousands of each class out there in the game already, a few people changing their class to one or other when they want won't affect me at all in the slightest.
