Tweaking races

The latest news on attempts to fix the racial passives imbalance is that Orcs, Nords, Khajiit, and Argonians are getting "tweaked" with the release of Imperial City, soon(tm).

What do you think these tweaks will entail? When they tweaked the Bosmer passives, they actually became a sought-after race. Do you think the same will happen for these other races or are there certain passives/races that are beyond repair?

It might be something about the health recovery passive. People have been saying it is more useless then magicka or stamina regen, due to healers in group. So maybe its better health recovery, or other regen types? Maybe other ways to restore health?

Yeah, I suppose there's not much we can do but speculate. I just wonder if what they'll be changing will be enough or if it will just be a Band-aid. The Bosmer change to their stamina regen put them near the top of the stamina-build choices. I just wonder if it's possible to put these other races near the top of any build choices.

Also, in the Ebonheart Pact there's a magicka build race and two tanky races. Do you think they'll make either Nords or Argonians more suited for stamina or dps builds or is that too much to hope for?

My guess is a health % bonus that is slightly lower than Imperial's with health regeneration as well.

Why do players start speculation threads? They accomplish absolutely nothing. You'll know how races are being tweaked when the patch notes are released.

Yeah, I know. I'm just bummed about my choice of picking an Argonian, but I'm VR4 and don't want to reroll.... That's the thing about MMOs, they always make changes and it's a gamble as to if you'll get screwed. It was the same with WoW for me back in the day. I wanted to play as a druid and they were just so inferior to other classes. When I finally got a build I could do well with, they nerfed it.

Seems like the same thing is happening here. I picked an Argonian NB. It never was the strongest choice, but with soft caps and the synergy between catalyst and the Argonian potion passive, it was workable. Again, developers decide to nerf my race/class combination and remove soft caps.

I just don't seem to have a lot of luck with MMOs.

Anyway, I just wanted to discuss what people's thoughts on the matter are. I suppose you're right, though. What's the point of speculating? You just get all worked up about nothing.

Define "viable". The only players that worry about that are min/max'ers. I've used Nord characters since day 1, and completed all content, without a problem.

Completing the solo content won't show a difference in stats, but when one race is 10% less stats then the other with no soft caps it's very noticeable especially in pvp or trial leaderboards. When soft caps were in place it wasn't near as bad.

After they change/tweak racials I'm sure we will see another FTOM race. If they lowered the % across the board it wouldn't be so noticeable. For instance lower most from 10% down to like 2% with imperial being 3% to allow for that little bit of an edge for being imperial.

Yeah I understand that you can do just as well with other races it's just that I always feel like I'm not playing as well as I could be if I don't use the best for what I'm doing

What do YOU accomplish by posting this comment? So everyone thinks you are right, and no one will ever again post speculation threads, just so you can scroll down on discussion threads with more percentage of posts of your own personal interest?

I hope zos give the orc another 15-20% speed increase
