XB1 EU - How much are Voidstone Ingots worth?

Hello Everyone,

I am a blacksmith and have now gathered somewhat like 170 Voidstone ingots, however I was wondering what the price for each ingot might be, since it is the best material in the game for heavy armor.

Best Regards,

Lj

    Hi there,

At this point in the Xbox life cycle these could fetch quite a high price,
However as more people reach VR levels and start farming for Nirncrux,
the price of this commodity will drop,

Right now on PC you can buy Voidstone ingots MUUUCH cheaper than iron ingots,
    Wierd,

Its not the level of the item that drives price, it is the demand vs supply situation,

Alright thank you brother, I will see if I can sell them to someone now or should I maybe hold on too them and make some future gear myself? I am not even V1 yet, so might not make a lot of sense I guess..

I'm on XB now, and I'm not really sure what the going rate is, as I have plenty of VS from my PC transfer. The problem with VS is that once you're able to use gear from this material, you have probably gathered enough of it already. In fact, my highest level character is V8, and I have 600 VS ingots in my bank, but I still gather enough to sell stacks of 100 or 200 every now and then, since I'm always in Craglorn for writs, I always do a circuit around Belkarth. I also gather quite a bit when I'm out gathering my alchemy and enchanting surveys.

So, not knowing what prices are, I would say you may not get more than 1200 or so per stack of 100. Maybe that's low, but that's been about the average on PC (personally, I wouldn't spend more than 600 per stack of 100). If someone is still working on their Blacksmithing and is doing the writs for inspiration (or doing them for the surveys) then they might be willing to spend more. But, since writs take nearly a full stack of 100 VS ingots and you only get 604g (or 664g with ESO+), it's not worth spending more than 600 gold for a stack in order to complete the writ.

So, if you want to sell, I'd sell now, as the price will only go down. Check around at a few guild kiosks and see what people are charging. Also, look to see how long the item has been up for sale. If someone is charging 2500g, but it's been there for 10 days, then maybe you want to price yours lower.

Alright thanks man. However I dont see that the highest material in the game right now should be worth less than lets say steel and Orichalc etc. I will try and sell them for less or just keep them myself.

I still think these materials are worth more to non veteran players right now, than players who can just gather them themselves.

It would indeed seem logical that higher level mats should be worth more, but the fact is, no one can use void steel until they are Veteran Rank 9. Even if you get all the passives to allow you to craft with void steel, you could not wear the gear until you are at least V9. So, iron and steel and orichalcum are usually more in demand since you level so quickly in the early stages of the game, so some people would rather just purchase the steel than try to gather enough to make for a set of gear. Also, at those levels, people are still working on their crafting, so potentially they are buying it to do the daily writs. It's easier to purchase than to gather what you need.

By the time they reach V9, they've gathered what they need from Craglorn, which can be accessed starting at V1 (this is what I've done). However, I'd still take a look around at traders and see what it's going for and if it's selling (i.e. you don't see it being up for sale for more than a week or so). Also, you're on the console, so the market is inflated right now. And, there may be players out there who want to stock up on higher level materials - either because they're doing the higher level writs even though their characters aren't at the level to be able to use the gear, or they just want to have it on hand when they do reach that level.

Also, I wouldn't say to price it lower than say steel, but it may not sell if it's significantly higher priced. Or, then again, maybe it will. The console market is still new/growing, and many guild traders don't really have that much stock, so it's hard to judge at this point.

    Thanks a lot.

I am a blacksmith myself and I am trying to buy into the more rare material like Daedra Hearts, Argentium, Copper and the rest I dont remember right now. However it seems ridiculous that people are selling these materials for like 5k each at this point. I know some people might just throw money at it, but I would like a more stable and reliable market.

It could be better with a global trading station than just the guild stores, because many guild stores apparently have too many *** selling stuff for *** prices, which ruin it for everyone.
