Please Allow Cross Alliance Grouping

    I think it would be great to have cross faction. I don't really care for any of the three alliances. I'm AD as they are the better of the three, but I don't think much of the queen. I have my own mind, and won't be just one of her minions. Treachery? Maybe, but I could take her on. She is a pretty pathetic and naive leader.

    So maybe pve no faction, pvp faction.
    Could even have it so that certain areas are faction controlled, but not the players. So avoid town gaurds or something maybe? Or have restricted buildings etc. I don't know

    Less we forget the whole point of the game is the PVE faction areas are isolated so dont see war (uncontested).
    Cyrodiil is where everyone collides and hence PVP (contested).

    So saying faction doesnt exist on the outskirts is false....the war doesnt exist there.

    For that reason... I am happy for the justice system to apply to each area and any foreign factions that enter would be arrested on site if caught and attacked by guards if you resisted.
    So you would need stealth and disguise.
    Thats the only way I would be happy for other faction to enter enemy territory.

    You friends may love you in their home town.....doesnt mean every else will.

    Fighters guild, mages guild or undaunted being neutral is a tricky issue. How do you give them free reign.....without letting everyone through the doors ? The only way I see is portals to specific areas at specific times and the guildhalls being neutral territory. ie. Only speicfic areas are marked safe from the guards.

    Then why, one the first quests of EP, are DC soldiers killing civilians and soldiers of the EP on the docks. Why do AD's infiltrate Glenumbra and attack. The war is there, but people don't know that because they don't listen/read the quests.

    Yes... and they are attacked by guards. I think of them as skirmishes as opposed to the main war in cyrodiil. But I expect the same response to enemy factions in enemy land.......as I wrote.

    All veteran PvE group content should be faction neutral. This game does not have many players. Empty end game zone chat and the LFG tool makes it clear. It can take hours to find a group, if you find a group at all. I play on EU.

    @Yusuf, exactly. Faction Alliance is fine, but it's hardly the only Alliance to be made. Eyevea is a perfect example. You should be able to group with your guild, in game and npc. You should be able to fight as one, heal as one.

    I can even throw in the idea of neutrality in that some people would be true to their own cause, as it was in the moment. This could be healers healing anyone on the battlefield or rogues with their own ambitions going after whoever crossed their path.

    Fame, infamy, and loyalty to various things have always been a part of the standalone's. When conflicting interest came into play, you made a choice. They're missing some opportunities here.

    Would be a nice feature for dungeons and trials. Easier to find and make groups. We can already chat, guild, buy and sell cross faction. So why not make instances cross faction to?

    Could be implemented as a cross faction LFG-tool, where we enter the same instance from different faction maps.

    The landscape will never be open for cross alliance grouping tho, unless they redesign the entire game than add more phases, to avoid a crowd. I can see a lot of technical and lag issues connected to that, so I rather have it separated.

    I wanted this from the beginning - even if they don't allowing cross faction questing then at least allow people to to do Vet dungeons together, we are all working for the undaunted/mages guild/fighters guild within the dungeons so there isn't even a reason with regards to lore that this shouldn't be allowed - if you are against it then fine don't join groups from other factions, but don't force me and others not to have the option - it would open up the possibility of finding groups easier (they could even just link it to the LFG finder (tick a box for cross factions - that way ones who want to stick within their faction are not accidentally added to another factions group, but the ones who want this can do so - win win!!)

    The places in game so far that make sense for cross faction grouping are: Coldharbour, Craglorn and possibly Eyevea and the final location of the Fighters Guild. I think it would make sense to have the vet undaunted quests be cross faction as well.

    I'm not sure. We have the alliance war on one side and the mages/fighters guild on the other. One is a fight between the faction and one is uniting them. Why would you group up with people of another faction that you later will end up hating in the war just to go back to grouping up with them again? Makes no sense at all to me.

    I can see the mages/fighting guilds be neutral and unite the factions due to the members not participating in the alliance war. But for the avarage player we'll most likelly participate in that war and why should we group up with our enemies unless we're extremely threatened from something else.

    But on the other hand, they've already made "any race any alliance", guilds being cross faction etc. So why not I guess. I personally don't like it at this point.

    I have read these posts, and have no idea what any of you are talking about since I have paid attention to zero lore, it doesn't actually have an impact on the game. Cross faction would simply make it easier to find people to group with, you are all grossly over thinking it.

    The lore is a big part of any RPG and should not be ignored. If you want a game without lore, you shouldn't be playing an RPG to be fair :/

    Just listen to the word RPG (Role Playing Game). What would an RPG be without role play? A non RPG ofcourse.

    The reason you cannot is simple : pvp, which is the main theme of the game. Plus it would be completely against the lore of this era.

    So no. You want to play with your ep friend? Swallow it and roll a nord.

    Its not about PvP or playing with friends, its about not waiting a hour in the group finder lol, you can easily cross faction dungeons and have pvp stay the same it is now
