I thought this was a planned maintenance that was planned for arguably the busiest time across europe on a thursday.

One last thought, to the admins, you should include a reason in your statement about the servers being shut down. if you said what youve just said in this thread, on that thread, it would prevent threads like this from happening :P2

On PC/mac we're happy if we get them twice a month now. Everyone gets super exited, starts jumping and singing, when it's maintenance and time for netchy natch potes

why would someone learn and sign up to a medium they dont use on the off chance they might get a further elaborated answer than the one they already got on the actual home website
keep in mind, someone who doesnt use twitter wouldnt have any logical reason to think "maybe i should check twitter" in the first place

its a valid point to make. this is the stupidest time do do maintenance and this was the assumption we were left with. Im sorry but are you honestly saying instead of using general chat on their website to make a point, we should spend time signing up to twitter to check that. What next? sign up to facebook, then reddit, then gumtree, then my cousing website, etc, etc. because, hey, who knows who has the best answer?
Believe it or not, ppl dont have a sixth sense about where information will appear so usually checking the home website is the answer.

2). Complain without the facts and look like a spoilt brat.
Number 2 won't get you very far in life.
1) theres a near infinite number of sources for information, that task is therefore impossible if you dont consider checking the source "getting your facts straight"

I'd have to agree with @Equilibriator, if there is anyway you could say "Servers will be going down for some Unscheduled Maintenance in 15 minutes" when ever it is Unscheduled instead of just they are going down, then maybe add the reason for it in the announcement section? It would probably put a lot more minds at ease, show people what it is you are doing, and save you a guys having to deal with as much hassle on the forums.
I don't know what that would take to implement but there's probably going to be more unplanned downtime in the future, it'd probably help you guys out in the long run. ^^
But thankyou to the team for being on the ball with the issues people face in game, it's better to have some unplanned downtime than not be able to play due to bugs.Edited by aConsoleCouple on June 25, 2015 7:08PM0 -
