User Opinion Requested On ESO Console Editions?

Hello a while back I purchased the ESO to console transfer for Xbox One Imperial Edition and was wondering if the console versions have a lot of game breaking issues. The one issue that probably concerns me most is the issue with users not receiving Explorers Pack or Imperial Edition bonuses. Having played the PC version and being the first MMO I have played and still plan to quite a lot through out the summer, I have learned that there will be issues, bugs, flukes, online multiplayer issues, DLC issues etc. I want to know how good are the console versions bug wise, feature wise, control wise, and gameplay wise? Anyways I know what a lot of YouTube vids have shown, the features on games page, along with a lot of other sources of information, I however want a players opinion. As a side note due to other downloads that took priority and due to a slow download speed I am pretty much starting to download the game with almost 10% completed in the last 8 hours, so I won't be on for quite some time, but will be as soon as it's finished. Thanks for any of your opinion's you can give on the console versions of Elder Scrolls Online.

EDIT: Some of this may sound confusing, I am half asleep as I'm typing this lol.

    Hey man,

I haven't really experienced any bugs on my PS4, except for one issue where at one stage all the NPC's would disapear and I would not be able to talk to them, After restarting the game and not having it fixed, a clean reboot of my console seemed to have fixed the issue. That is about it for me, I also have the explorers pack and had no issue receiving my perks

I've had the invisible glitch once or twice, but a quick restart of the game is easy.

Only thing that's annoying is being errored out of the game when your in a high player intensive pvp battle because the servers can't handle it.

Also as theres communication 'issues' in console, games a lot better if you already have a group to play with before hand.
    PS4 EU DC

    Current CP : 756+

I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

RIP my effort to get 5x v16 characters...

Greetings to you DragonSamurai360. :) PS4 experience for me has been very good thus far. There have been the odd bugs, like the odd NPC disappearing and slow to load 'bosses' in public dungeons/delves. Lag in higher population areas is an irritation at times. Black/slow to load, NPCs and players in high pop areas sometimes too.
I have recieved my explorers pack and Imperial Edition bonuses with no problems.

I am loving the controller and delighted with the way it has been been thought out by the devs. I am having a lot of fun, with few issues.
As yet I haven't got to multiplayer, as I am still 'lonewolfing', other than public dungeons, where sometimes its good to team up with someone and help one another. :)
Not sure if any of that helps.
Have a great Tamriel day. ;)
Young at heart. Slightly older in other places.
    PS4 player.
If everything was perfect there would be nothing to strive for.

Hi, I have the Imperial Edition Xbox One and all the DLC came through no issues. The patch on June 23 seemed to stabilize things, not that I had lots issues, so the invisible NPCs I've not encountered now.

PvP though is not enjoyable. You will ride on a horse for minimum of 5 minutes to only be one shotted then respawn, back on horse. Wash, repeat. I do not enjoy the PvP at all.
Queen Ayrenn build that wall around Summerset.

    Make Shimmerene great again!

The console versions run great i hit a little lagg in pvp every now and then but thats all good, there are a few bugs but nothing game breaking. As for features well if your looking for a true mmorpg id stick to pc or try a different console mmo, the lack of text chat makes the game feel dead as a majority of people have their voice chat muted to avoid other players background noise all ranging from but not limited to static, distorted music, bodiley functions and arguments and the voice chat servers are down alot leaving people unable to communicate there is also no damage display this makes it incredibly hard to fine tune a build and see if certain abilities are working correctly, the LFG tool is a broken mess most of the time and only serves to bring your attention back to the lack of text chat because you arent able to pull your own group together effectively. All in all the console version is a great single player rpg with a co-op option. Thats just my opinion

If you read this board alot you would think the game is terrible and never works. I'm enjoying it very much though.

Yeah all the posts under the technical forums had me kind of worrying a little, thus why I created this thread to get a more accurate opinion. I enjoy the game a lot on PC, really will be exciting to try the console version once I get it downloaded.

    PS 4 NA

First week was a login queue every day, and I work afternoon shift, so on M-F I don't even get home until shortly after 11:30 pm EST and so the earliest I would even attempt to log in would be quarter to midnight. Thankfully haven't had a login queue during the 2nd week.

Only hard crashes I have had have been in Cryodil (Alliance PvP). I've had around 8, and sent the PSN report every time, but they only occurred on 2 separate days (last Thursday and also this past Saturday - split about evenly on those 2 days). Seems like a server strain issue for the particular time.

Until after today's patch, I routinely got the "This may be an unusually long load time" message a LOT in PvP (it is NOT unusual). After today's patch I got it for the first time in a PvE zone (the one after Grahtwood). After waiting 5 minutes I closed the game and stopped playing.

Feature-wise it's lacking many basic MMO features, but as ESO on PC was your first MMO, maybe that doesn't matter to you. Voice chat only is, IMO, a terrible decision. Auto-force-joining voice area chat every time you zone (even after you leave the channel) is awful. Not allowing you to be in both guild and party chats at the same time (you can be in guild and area OR party and area at the same time) makes coordinating things a royal PITA, given there's no text chat. It just doesn't feel like an MMO due to this "feature" and it's implementation. But I've been playing MMOs since Ultima Online, so it's something I expected (as every MMO, and nearly every heavily online reliant game - Diablo, etc - I've every played has text chat).

It looks great, IMO, for a console game. I never had the disappearing NPC thing, and only really have display issues in large-scale PvP battles (but many PvP battles are large-scale, so this happens a lot in Cryodil).

I'm only level 28, and have only finished through Grahtwood in PvE (I know I'm overleveled for my area, but I played a lot of PvP), but have only had one bug while questing - abandoning the quest and getting it again fixed it (it was the Fighters Guild quest where you went to a boat in Haven and did something with the NPC to a ball-like artifact or whatever).

I found lag on the EU server but north american server runs fine for me, no issues what so ever.

Enjoy the game man, it is really great...It is very moreish

Although I didn't find the guides all that great in the game, most of them just give you a brief summary and then your left to figure out the rest yourself.

I didn't know you could buy more inventory space until I read it on here.
