Radiant Light in Cyrodiil

Why can everyone see Radiant Light? What good is it if everyone can see that you are using it? I could see the opposing players that were using it and so they could see me also in sneak. What good are abilities if the players you are facing know exactly what you have? Especially if it is a big glowing ball circling you and pointing out where you are?

Yes really. I could see enemies with it on and trust me they could see me. I am perplexed as to why there needs to be a ball at all.
Is this bugged or as intended?

so what difference does it make if they know you have a higher crit chance? Really?

The purpose of it is to show people that are in stealth. Yes it raises spell crit, but if am in stealth and looking for others and I have a big glowing ball around me how stealthy is that?

Could you see just the 'ball' or the player as well.

Cause it SHOULD allow you to see hidden players, and if the other players are using it, it also SHOULD allow them to see you.

Normal detection of hidden players is 10 meters (less with some skills and armor), with the skill active, you can detect hidden enemies at a range of 20 (less with some skills and armor)

So if NONE of them were using it, but you where, you should be able to see them and they not see you (if your hidden)
But a single player on their side using it, they ALL will be able to see you (at 20 meters)

This is why all raid groups in pvp have as least one player using this skill

The bright ball means nothing, (like having pets out). If your in sneak, it does not matter, you, the bright ball and any pet, they are all invis.

OK that make sense. I still do not know why this skill and its counterpart have to have a ball at all.

It must have been a momentary glitch. Just went back and was not able to see what I saw before. Thanks or the help.
