Just got a text from redbox:
"Try any game FREE for a day, like the epic Elder Scrolls Online, with promo code:"
To bad it would take a day likely for most people to install it. Consoles are not what they use to be with the insert disk and play game.
Good press for ESO though and hopefully pick up some more users.

If it were all playing time and no install you likely could make it to level 5/6 easily in a day worth of playing which is more than enough to give you a view if you like the game enough to buy it or not.

I dont see how you could judge whether the game is good or not by level 5 or 6. My opinion they should have a 7 day limited trial for all platforms. By limited I mean no sending mail. No zone chat ability. Limited messaging. Maybe limit the level you can get to 25 ish something like that.

I'd be fine with an ESO trial IF it was on it's own server. Even with limited chat, messaging, no mail, and no trading or selling, if they did this on the live servers, all it would do is add to the already strained server load and login times, not to mention the queue in Cyrodiil.

Console vs PC
PC you expect to play a game for 1000+ hours on console we look to buy games for 100 hours. Now people will stick with games longer buy I think a lot of console buys are much more spur of the moment after watching twitch or playing a short demo.
