My FPS never drops below 28 in big battles with everything on ultra...Adam_Chattaway wrote: »Caesar Tantalia wrote: »TequilaFire wrote: »Exaggerate much?
The graphics are not as bad as you say.
Most of us upgrade our PS4 hard drives anyway as it is so easy to do.
Not trying to exaggerate at all. Like I said, PC graphs have spoiled me. For me the difference was too big. I'm not saying that the graphs are bad (not at all) but the difference is too noticable for me (just a personal opinion).
what you think a bit of view distance is that big of a deal? please... at least the ps4 is smooth as butter in a huge castle siege, no fps drop at all.
Youtube's video compression ruins any graphical comparison.Adam_Chattaway wrote: »i cant believe tho pc gamers saying the gfx are that bad when they are 90% the same... textures are same, af is lower sure, AA seems same, view distance and water effects are the only difference really... look at proper comparison videos of the game pc vs ps4.

Like I said - it's a personal preference but I seriously doubt draw distance is the only difference. For me, it's the graphical "feel" I get.
Re siege - non VR AvA was smooth as well on PC. ZOS even admitted there is a huge gap in performance between VR and non VR AvA because of the AoA abilities VR players have (and spam) so I want to see a full VR compaign on PS4 before jumping to conclusions.
Console graphics will always be sub par when compared to PC. This is the main reason I will always be a PC Gamer. I like being able to get more performance from my system by upgrading this or that. I have all my settings on Ultra and can't say how many times I stop at spots in the game and just say "that's incredible scenery".
While consoles have come along way with graphic detail, they will never catch up to PC IMO.
Personally I think the PS4 graphics are good. As good as PC? No, but for console they are very good. I more so noticed the loss of a bit of detail. To be honest, if I had not previously (and currently) been playing the PC version at Ultra higher.. I'm sure I would have been stunned by the PS4 graphics.. because then I really wouldn't have noticed the small details that seem to be lost.
I hate to break it to you console folks. The performance of a console will never match that of a gaming PC. Consoles are marketed to lower income gamers, people who sometimes can't buy them out of their own pocket, i.e. kids. That is also why the majority of console games are much less dense than PC games. ESO being one of the few exceptions. Now I'm not saying that the games or graphics are completely garbage on consoles. I am just saying that even a simple PC build will have better performance, as well as the ability to upgrade along the way. Instead of having to buy a 400$ console every few years. Not to mention, a lot of PC games are starting to allow downloading of games for free with or without a subscription. Where with consoles you pay 60$ or more for each game that is about as dense as Tetris with its content. To answer your question some might ask, yes...I have owned a few consoles and currently have a PS4.

PS4 EU
What makes you think us console players don't stop and look at the scenery and say the same thing?? I know I do. Please don't make assumptions.
I am a seasoned (thats polite talk for old,) console player and TES and now ESOTU player and I am perfectly happy with the graphics on my PS4.
Its beyond me why some folks feel a need to tell me the obvious so often.
Have a great day/evening in Tamriel all.

the problem is performance, a PC will always have issues, take the new batman game, runs perfect 30 fps on PS4, runs liek crap on PC's
I tried to play witcher 3 on PC with a 970 and had stuttering, hitching, frame skipping etc etc, no matter how powerfull a PC is there will always be issues that make games unplayable, waiting for patches ect.
A console game release general much better off with much better optimization, a $400 PC will have huge frame drops prob and run like crap because it wont have that optimization and care the PS4 gets.
Ill give an example, lord of the rings war int he north, had a day 1 issue that made the game run at 2 fps on my gfx card, my mate had it day 1 on PS3 and played it perfectly, took 5 months for them to patch and fix the game so i could play it, then my £40 preorder was £5 on steam.
90% of games are cross platform so size is not an issue i'll give another example, Final fantasy 14 the new expansion just came out, ITS HUGE MASSIVE AND OPENWORLD, yet the PS3 can still handle and play it with 256mb of ram... the PC version cant run on 256mb of ram, console optimization will always beat PC.
It was my BDAY 2 days ago and i got Witcher 3 for PS4 despite having it and the expansion pass on PC, and you know what its awesome, and i have more fun playing it at 30 fps on PS4 than a buggy hitching 60 fps on PC
I even made this video check it out please and see one of the many issues i have on PC with witcher 3https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGhkqT1tce8
this is one of the reasons, no matter how good your pc, how high your fps is or good your hardware is, these issues will now always make me play on console, because i trust consoles to fix problems more than PC's
