Tip for Speeding up your 15G Patch on PS4!

Hey guys! On PS4 go to your notifications > downloads, and go to the ESO patch that you should be downloading by now. In a fit of anger I paused and unpaused the download a couple of times, and it seemed to really speed up the mbps, at least double it, it seems.

Don't know if this is just my system or not, but I mean I didn't have anything else running in the background, nothing at all except the patch.

Just trying to help alleviate our collective pain, hope this helps out at least a few people!

this'll be the only time I bump ( I know the rules) but I'm just trying to help some fellow gamers out with this harsh down time.

Guys lemme know if it did (or did not) do anything to speed up your download.

What is this black magic?!

Honestly - I sneered a little at this with a thought of 'pft, yeah...' - but I've just paused and resumed 4 times in quick succession - download timer has gone from 16 hours to 32 minutes and download rate has skyrocketed

Confirmed - Time went from 67 hours to 2 hours

I do this with all my downloads.
It also works by going to "test my connection" in network settings.
It's kinda like refreshing the download connection.

LOL I literally do not know, I just was sitting at my PS4 in semi-rage clicking random things on the dashboard and i ended up at the downloads, and for some reason I just decided to pause/unpause a few times and whammy!

This can backfrie.
Also, if every PS4 User does this it can put a HUGE strain on the server...and possibly even cause a sort of DOS attack, and cause a crash.

It does help if you notice that it seems to be stuck at some unbelievably high number that you KNOW is slower than your connection should be capable of.

Yeah - I think your final point is a very good one. I would normally expect my internet connection to eat up 12 gigs in 30-40 minutes - so the original 27 hours was a bit of a red flag for me!
