Question about Mounts - which is a better investment?

Hi all. I'm new to ESO, but not MMO's in general. I can live without a mount, and I know how to make money quickly. Now, my question is: should I drop the 10K on the starter horse, or wait until I hit 42.8K and get the "better" one? Could someone explain to me if there is any benefit in the more expensive horses, or conversely, if there is no glaring advantage?

There is no longer any difference in the mounts themselves, they are all just skins. You level up your Riding skill on your individual characters for the speed, stam and carrying capacity (which is just adding to your bag space)

So get the cheap one now and you can get fancier skins later on from the crown store or whatever.

All mounts, once purchased are useable on all characters, btw

The only difference between mounts are cosmetic. They are accountbound unlocks and you can switch between the skins.

It was just easier to scoop the imperial edition to get to start out with a horse
