Greetings everyone,
a few days ago i had my fun spamming an afk guildmate (form another faction) with crushing shock because I had nothing better to do.
However i made an interesting discovery that day.
My guildmate simply didn't burn!
Crushing Shock by default is supposed to have a 40% chance to applie the "burning" status effect, a small fire DoT, to targets hit, but that simply didn't happen.
No matter how hard i tried he did not start burning. After some further testing, which involved 3 different Dunmer characters (some died) as well as some non Dunmer I think i can say rather savely that Dunmer simply can't burn. Out of all the targets I (and my guildmates) schocked during testing only Dunmer did not catch fire.
So here come the questions:
Is this intended ?
Does the immunity to burning (and maybe other status effects) come with a certain level of elemental resistance ?
Is this too strong ?
I hope some of you are able to shed some light on this as i myself don't really want to craft additional enchants for testing and some of you (ex-)Vampires probably still have your gold fire resist gear

.
Lastly i just wanted to add that I am not nessecarily against such a mechanic as it adds some flavor to the game without too much impact by itself, however i would have prefered if ZoS would actually have made it clear somewhere how such ingame mechanics work.
