Tired of not being able to post trades and other requests? ESO Trade is for you.

Since Zenimax apparently has no interest in implementing a global auction house, and won't even add a trade section to the forum, I've created a website for this purpose.

ESO Trade is for players who don't enjoy traveling between 100 different wayshrines and guild traders just for a chance to maybe find an item they are looking for. There are players who don't enjoy spamming zone chat for buy/sell orders for hours on end with no luck. There are also solo players who aren't part of a trading guild, or any guild, who also need an avenue to buy and sell goods and services other than zone chat.

I created ESO Trade several months ago, but i've recently added console sections. I'm still working out some minor details, but please go right ahead and sign up and become a member. There are currently trade sections for the PC, PS4, and XBOX NA and EU servers, as well as general discussion. I will add more sections such as player guides, gear guides, loot locations, guild recruitment, and others if there is a significant interest in these topics. Let me know what you would like to see at ESO Trade and I will do my best to get it done.

You will be able to buy and sell gear, items, motifs, materials, and services (such as 9-trait crafting or master enchanting) between all Alliances on both the EU and NA servers. Make sure to read the Trade Forum Rules when you sign up. I currently have only the default forum avatars and ranks set up, but if you will just be patient, I will have the site farther along later in the week. Hopefully many players will get some use from ESO Trade and be able to find items they have been looking for as well as find buyers for items they have been trying to sell.

Trading guilds are welcome to post sales and locations of your guild traders.

Buying, Trading, and Selling:

When posting a Buy/Sell/Trade thread, simply give a description of the item you are looking for, or are wanting to sell, along with your character name (or @ name) and the price that you are buying/selling for. When you have found what you are looking for, or completed the transaction, please post and make note of that.

Vampire and Werewolf Bites:

Each trade section has a sticky thread for Vampire and Werewolf bites. Post all of your bite requests in these sticky threads and they will always stay at the top, unlike the official forum.

If you are tired of not being able to post any trade threads on the official forum, and getting your posts instantly removed, then sign up for ESO Trade. Many of you (especially console players) have been asking for a better way to buy, sell, and trade items. I'm giving players of every PC, console, and server the opportunity to buy, sell, and trade without restriction. Whether or not you take that opportunity is up to you. If you don't use the tools that are offered to you, then you have no reason to keep complaining about such things on the official forum.

Can we not start this argument again? Did you not read up on the game before purchasing? We all knew there wouldn't an auction house. And no, you are incorrect. EverQuest didn't have an Auction House until the Luclin expansion but it wasn't even a real auction house then. More like a "I am AFK so click on my character to browse what I have for sale in my bags" type of system.

Come on ZOS! Give us our chat box already!

The site created by @Akavir_Sentinel is offering many more features than a chat box would and it has the potential to reach more buyers as it catches on. I play other MMOs with text chat but I still rely heavily on third party add-ons and web sites to make the most out of my buying and selling. In fact, in those games I find that most buyers posting WTBs in chat are offering lowball prices meant to take advantage of the uninformed and most sellers are likewise asking for overinflated prices. I play the AH a lot in those games and make a good income in-game, but I never sell via chat and have only bought anything in that way literally a few times. Our guild store is doing great business on console in EOS by the way.

Thanks to all of you, ESO Trade is starting to gain membership. I've already seen posts for the sale of crafting services, motifs, and bite offerings.

For those who haven't been to ESO Trade yet, I've put up a couple of posts listing bag and bank prices, along with a list of sets that are in the game and where to obtain them (this is currently being updated), and a post with some off-the-wall custom builds that I have.

Keep ESO Trade in mind when you are looking for those hard-to-find items, need to sell your wares and services, or just want an alternate place to post in general where your threads won't get instantly deleted or moderated.

I personally won't use it, but it is a quaint little site.
But personally, I find it faster to find most items using in-game methods, despite the various ranges of price most common items seem to be priced reasonably. But for rarer items on the other hand is a whole other matter, and that is where ESO trade may excel.

Thank you. It's not a fancy site, but it's functional and it's not going anywhere. Even if it ends up not getting as much traffic as I'd like, I'm going to keep it going. And you're right about the common items, those are probably most easily sold via in-game methods, especially on PC. But for those playing ESO on console, well, their avenues of buying and selling are quite a bit more limited.

It will, however, make it a bit easier to find rare and oddball items and sets, such as someone looking for a VR14 Cuirass of Elfbane (a PvP set) to complete their set. That's one of those pieces that you rarely see on vendors and never see sold in zone chat.

That may indeed be the case, but I'm going to at least try and offer players another way to find items rather than the limited in-game means they have now.

He said it was standard in MMOs. I said No it wasn't. And EverQuest didn't input an auction house as they are now. You bascially had a special bag with the stuff in it you wanted to sell. Then your character had to be physically in a trade area (called the Bazaar) and players would basically use your character like any other NPC but can only purchase the items in that special backpack.

I actually argued FOR this Bazaar system in Eso back around launch when the AH argument popped up all the time.

I'd definitely call a feature that is in basically every MMO (except the very first one) to be a pretty "standard" feature. Regardless of whether ESO should have one or not, his statement is very correct, they are a standard feature in MMOs.

No, it's not against the rules, and no, I don't make a single penny from it. I am simply providing a free service that Zenimax has no intention of ever providing. It's almost like some of you want this to fail....

As much as i love ESOTU not having a proper Auction House is just extremely disappointing. I am an auction guy and in every MMO I've played this was the best way to make gold for me and also buying stuff while levelling was so much more easier. The second thing that makes me just cry is the utterly useless group finder. What where they thinking... OMG, two of the most important features of every MMO! Listen ZOS, not everyone has time to wait an hour (or more in my case but i never did) to find a group or spend countless hours travelling around to guild auction houses to find what he wants. Don't get me wrong, i've been very positive so far about ESOTU but as i've been levelling my super cool Dracula Dunmer DK i haven't been able to find a group for any of your dungeons! I mean like ...Nada! I only have a couple of hours a day to spare for playing games so you don't really want me to spend them on looking for a group to do a dungeon, right? Right? Don't even get me started with the veteran dungeons, that's like out of the question if you don't have a steady guild group. That's just lame, a cool game that lacks two most important features! Please, fix that, i beg you. :)

LOL, zone chat, that's a joke as well...

Anyway, I love ESOTU. I just had to let off some steam...
