I've found once you hit VR levels, crafting up to date gear every level will do you fine.
If you wanted to go the route of waiting, then I only really know of Fighters/Mage Guilds quest lines that would reward you with anything useful.

@OrphanHelgen, you wait until VR to get Champion Point credit out of them, VR12 specifically for the weapon mentioned above.The_Sadist wrote: »OrphanHelgen wrote: »Do main quest in vr1.

Why though?
The mages guild reward is consistent regardless and the fighters guild reward isn't exactly overly useful.

are you telling me or agreeing with me?
The reason for vr1 main quest, is because you need to finish main quest to enter veteran zones. And yes CP.

I don't imagine the experience you earn is super amazing and if you're a completionist like myself it helps doing things in a methodical order. So while it may be 'worth' waiting to do the two quest lines if you're leveling an alt with the intention of optimising CP gain, a person who is playing their first playthough should simply do the quests as they appear for a more consistent story. In this sense completing the mages guild quest line might prove more beneficial due to the potential reward whereas the fighters guild weapon is easily replaceable (I often decon it when I get it sort of thing).

He was asking what gave most benefit, not what gave best experience. My answers win! oyeah!
