What about an app...

That allowed to craft while you were away from the game, or hire people to gather regeants for you and stuff. That way when you get home, it's ready to go?

While the suggestion of an app appears quite frequently in the general discussion, I feel 'hiring people to gather reagents for you and stuff' would be a big no.

If you had an app which could check your mail sort of thing for hirelings perhaps, but outright gathering materials for you? I don't think that would sit well with a majority.

It wouldn't be an unlimited amount... trading with players would be a good idea too.

Great idea!! Tell me what it takes away from the game and tell me how it provides an unbalance? You could do the same in game, not just with an app...

Do the search function. Lots of topics regarding this . I'm not talking about an imbalance, while an app would be appropriate for some things, what you requested is all about convenience. It is on those platforms for reasons that you have to log in and do those game mechanics .

    So still no.

Trading with players sounds like a coding nightmare, and any amount would still be too much. If the app can interact with the game, e.g. feed horses, I can see it working, but gathering raw materials sort of thing seems like a stretch.

Because you're basically wanting a BOT program.

I would just like a mobile app that let me check my account, view forums, and catch up on ESO news, all in a "mobile-friendly format" since the website doesn't seem to want to do that, and resizes my window every time I click on a new page. It would also be nice if it would automatically track my research on each of my characters so I could have an update without having to log on. (I've seen other apps that do just that, but the one I had only let me track for one character, or one character per skill). But I don't even really need that, it'd just be nice.

As for directly interacting with the game from a mobile app, I think that could be manipulated by far too many people and ruin things for everyone else, so I'm going to vote no on the direct interaction.

A bot program? I'm talking about a similar set up like dragon age... how is that anywhere near a bot program? This isn't my first rodeo here. And sooner or later a link between your mobile device and game will be coming. Probably not with this game, since I haven't even seen a patch in two weeks after the initial release, but it's going to happen. This isn't a macro etc. It's a simple way to fill an order once a day... I'm not talking about sending a character out to gather unlimited supplies for your character here. It needs to be regulated and handled with care, but I can assure every person who reads this, that the time will happen in gaming. To just flat out say "no", why even bother respond? I know there are older discussions, I'm sure almost every topic in a general discussion forum gets duplicated, triplicated or more... It's what happens.
