Dk fire Mage help

Hi I'm fairly new to ESO, I have a lvl 31 dk which I am building as a fire Mage. I just have a couple of questions

1. I'm mainly interested in dps both pve solo and group and pvp, is magika the right choice or is stamina higher dps?
2. When I'm in a long fight such as a dungeon boss my magika runs out and seems to take a while to regen, is there anything I can do to increase this at my lvl
3. How do Stam and magika Dk compare to the other 3 classes overall dps wise
4. I use 5 light and 2 heavy for the Passives from the light tree and a bit of extra survivability from the heavy pieces, will this be viable for veteran levelling
5. My 1st skill bar is innerlight, molten whip, engulfing flames, burning embers, either green dragons blood or obsidian shield and standard of might. Do you think this skillset is viable and what should I have on my second bar

Any answers would be appreciated

    1. I'm mainly interested in dps both pve solo and group and pvp, is magika the right choice or is stamina higher dps? - Magicka is the higher DPS
    2. When I'm in a long fight such as a dungeon boss my magika runs out and seems to take a while to regen, is there anything I can do to increase this at my lvl - Try using crafted sets like Seducer that improve magicka regen
    3. How do Stam and magika Dk compare to the other 3 classes overall dps wise - as far as I know, Magicka DK is second only to Stam Templar for pure single target DPS
    4. I use 5 light and 2 heavy for the Passives from the light tree and a bit of extra survivability from the heavy pieces, will this be viable for veteran levelling - It is viable, but he will want to run 5 Light, 1 Med & 1 Heavy once you unlock the undaunted passives.
    5. My 1st skill bar is innerlight, molten whip, engulfing flames, burning embers, either green dragons blood or obsidian shield and standard of might. Do you think this skillset is viable and what should I have on my second bar - For single target DPS in a group instance I would swap out Dragon Blood/Obs' Shield for Molten Armaments and weave partly charged heavy attacks between Molten Whips.

    Any answers would be appreciated

Your second bar should have Inner Light, Eruption, Elemental Ring, Elemental Blockade/Draw Essence and the last slot is where you can have your dragon blood or whatever else you feel you need
    Fat Grim Reaper - (m)Dragon Knight AR28
    F G R Junior - Templar AR26
This One Had Name Changed - Nightblade AR19
Fat Grim Streaker - Sorcerer AR15
    M12-GM - Guardians of the Twelve-GM - Crown Store Heroes - ETU

    1) Magicka is definitely very powerful.
    2) Use a 5 piece Seducer craftable set, and use heavy attacks to recover magicka, both will make a big difference
    3) Stam DK is better than Sorc and Templar, but less powerful than NB, Magicka DK comes second after Sorc.
    4) Yes it will be viable.
    5) Your first bar is viable, place some AoE skills on your second bar, as mentioned in the post above. You might want to play around with Stone Fist or Dark Talons to trigger the secondary Flame Lash effect, which is the other morph of Molten Whip, I had much fun with that.

Sorcs have the highest DPS in boss fights shorter than 1 min because of the overload ultimate... once their ultimate runs out, their DPS is average... not bad, but not the best.

    F G R Junior - Templar AR26

fwiw, i've used overload for the 'oh-s**t' moments rather than a goto attack; it's saved me quite a few times.

good advice above on incorporating aoe/destro staff and sustain skills into the second bar.

    v14 dk
    v14 sorc

Brilliant answers my questions have been answered. I do have a couple more

Using the skills mentioned above could someone suggest a rotation for bar1 and 2

My first character was a Stam 2h nightblade, I didn't really enjoy it so I chose to go magika, have I made the right decision going with dk over the other classes for magika dps

Engulfing Flames > Burning Embers > Molten Whip....

Engulfing doens damage over time and makes the enemy take more damage from fire

Buning embers does damage over time and heals you when it ends

Whip makes your ardent flame abilities do more damage... keep weaving it with medium attacks until you need to refresh the two DoTs

Use Standard of might for you ultimate on your single target bar... the damage buffs from engulfing and whip both increase its damage.

Use Meteor on the single target bar and Standard on your off bar.

Ardent flame abilities don't need to be on the active bar to take advantage of whips passive damage increase once they're cast. Once standard is cast switch back to whip bar and the damage will still be increased.

Meteor will increase your max mag while in single target, therefore more damage. I'm testing a variation of the build with all the ardent flame abilities on the off-bar (except whip) and molten on the single target bar to make it easier to keep molten up 100%.

Edit: Well I just realized OP is lvl 31 lol. You're probably not going to have meteor unless you farm lorebooks. Just stick with standard as Phat mentioned. *looks for coffee*
