What's up with group finder?

It has not worked once for me on PS4. Even when I'm queued hours on end.

I mean, for it to completely not work, it's as if Bethesda wants us to know that they are definitely going to have one... That works... Someday. Maybe Bethesda wants players to actually group with each other themselves so the early players can start reliable groups? It's just strange they would have the option and to have it never work.

Bethesda did not make this game. And yes, the group finder is horrible and has never worked correctly, even on PC.

Oh, Zenimax then.

That seems very deliberate, that the group finder has never worked. For something that works so well in other MMOs I've played, it's weird that they have not figured it out.

I guess my question this thread is, do you think the basically defunct group finder has not been fixed on purpose? To me, it seems like a way to force genuine group finding in order to better the chance groups will stick together in the future. Like creating guilds, raids, etc.

I have never had to wait more than 10 seconds if i click all dungeons (im a healer though) but thats as far as the joys of group finder go...
it will then load a group of 3 of us and kick us out of group finder... Rejoin group finder and never finds a 4th... also surely it couldn't be that hard to have a teleport to the dungeon option pop up as soon as it finds you a group??

Unfortunately, no. And I have a theory that it's malfunction is deliberate.

There isnt players. This is next-gen game so there isnt many players yet. I basically figured it out as they havent added any new campaigns, even PC (What was rumoured to be flop too) had 9 Campaign for EU and all were full at prime time. Positive thing I hope is that, there still lots last-gen players when they switch to next-gen it should mean we have steady flow of new players. I bet theres tons of PS3 and Xbox 360 who cant play ESO yet.

There certainly are enough players. I see them everywhere.

I hope you right, but there still only 4 campaign whats really odd.

Actually I wouldnt be surprised if they made last-gen ESO too.

Group finder definitely needs an overhaul and a teleport to instance option flash up on screen is a must imo.

Actually the group finder itself just doesn't work reliably. Players have ran tests (on youtube) showing that multiple characters in the same alliance, litterally feet from each other, that que up for the exact same dungeons with appropriate roles take a significantly long time to get grouped if at all. Invdersly, they also tested the same players/characters queing up for all dungeons with respective roles and taking even longer.
This in turn has reduced the amount of players actually using the damned thing, making it even more difficult to determine what exactly is wrong with it to begin with.
