I am getting tired of typing this in replies, so here is it's own thread....

I play on PS4.
One reply has said this may not work with Xbone.
If it does, please let me know.

Hot To Mute People On Consoles:
WHILE IN THE GAME...
Open "Social"
Open "Voice Chat".
Open "Participants" List.
Highlight Player You Want To Mute
Select "Block"
PROFITS!

Have A Nice Day! :)

EQUALIZE ALL PLATFORMS!
IF ONE HAS IT...ALL SHOULD HAVE IT!

I don't care what platform it is on...an MMORPG without Text Chat is NOT an MMORPG!

Do you mean open it ingame? I tried that, and only came up with 'gamercard' etc, but no option to mute. That is with XB1, not sure about PS4

On PS4 you are given the option to view thier "profile", but also at the bottom of the list it simply says "Block".

This is in game...guess I have to edit the OP again. (lol)

    EDIT APPLIED:
I reread your reply, and had some more caffiene...
I just clear my blocked list every few days. Odds are I won't run into them again in such a "big world". And, if I notice the same one on there a few times I just leave them there...they "need" it.

This is not "in game". Blocking someone's PSN ID will block them forever, meaning you can't even receive messages from them. What we need is the ability to block someone's mic for a short time in ESO only.

People were posting about having "no" way to mute somebody without "leaving" the game.
This is as "in game" as it gets right now.
Yeah...it would be GREAT if they gave us a true way to "mute" people.

    ...and..."forever"?
Come on...let's not be dramatic. ;)
I already posted right above you about clearing my block list every couple of days.
Yeah, it's a pain, but it's the only option avaiable to us right now...besides just turning off ALL in game communications.

Thanks. I already knew that but all the PC transfers prob needed a bit of help with the interface.

Its actually all very simple as you have explained.
I for one don't mind talking to the community of players enjoying something that I also enjoy.
I'm guessing that the dramatic walk off crowd has never been to a baseball game. Imagine telling the guy and his kid next to you to shut up cause your trying to listen to the game. Same thing here.
Its a community activity, stop griping over every social interaction.

I feel like, if you find the need to mute said person, whether or not you block them from other forms of communication should be irrelevant.
