PS4 - Not very social...

It might be just me but it seems that no-one talks to anybody or plays with anyone on ESO PS4.

The group finder is useless as it never gives you a full group of four players and it takes an absolute age to find anyone. After hours of trying to find a group to do the very first dungeon (Fungal Grotto) half of the group was AFK/offline.

Also emotes are hidden away in the menu and there is no text chat option either.

For an MMORPG I feel like I'm playing a dumbed down version of Oblivion and Skyrim at the moment and I have to say I'm quite disappointed.

The only online side of the game that I am experiencing is seeing is the hundreds of players running around me.

I want to enjoy this game but I'm struggling at the moment.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Because we all hate eachother, We need text chat, Voice chat is dead. Nobody wants to communicate publicly while mouth breathers, loud eaters, squeekers, p3rv3rts and mean people are dominating area chat.

Yeah, I think most of us feel the same way.
It's like playing a single player with NPCs running through dungeons and towns beside me.
The only interactions I have properly is with my guild.
Those without one will have it much worse.

I don't even have a guild. I've been invited to random ones but I'd rather join a guild where I have some idea of who the players are.

I want to play an MMORPG and it feels like I can't!

Yes it is like oblivion, except with people around you and annoying people on mic, playing music, making noises etc, and even people talking normally are broken up and not clear compared to PS partychat

Like for example im stuck on a quest or something there is 5-6 others doing it also, can i ask "what to do" easily in text chat, but not for voice because my mic is unplugged because no one barely uses it :disappointed:
Or asking people in a bank if they have an item i need? Nope because they probarly left voice chat already due to someone elses bad mic.

All in all i agree man, we need text chat, and all your issues and mine are gone...

What gets me is the ps4 comes with a ok mic. All players should have a mic. But I have to say a small handful of players on ps4 have mics now that same size didn't have it on ps3. But for the people that do plz adjust your mike so it only pick up you chat and not every little sound in your house.

We don't all hate each other. And you need to learn to deal with the human race as a whole. I have had no problem meeting complete strangers and running dungeons or doing minor trading. Its actually kind of fun.

You are wrong. Dead wrong. Everyone is listening and using their mics. Which is it? Is no one on the mic to answer your question s or is everyone not using the mic? You obviously just want to complain.
Most people will answer a simple question.
Just join a guild and use guild chat that's world wide like text chat would be. Your guildies will help you or lose your membership right?
Stop with the sour grapes people.

    Cheers.

Text Chat could fix all this.

Text chat! I feel like I'm playing a game that should be on an Android OS or something with how stripped down it feels compared to other MMORPG's I've played. I've been waiting for the hard copy of FFXIV Heavensward to come out, which does tomorrow, so I'll be sliding back in to that for a while. I love the dungeons in it, group finder is awesome. This game is very bland, is the best way I can describe it. It's kind of fun, and I can see how having real life friends would make it better, but when you solo, it isn't really.

Xbox One is very social :) I spoke to a group of three and we went out and killed random stuff and got invited to their guild :)
