I have to say I am amazed at how horrible the customer service for this game is. Recently I was ripped off for 9000 Gold I called ESO two times and sent them video proof of the guy scamming me. They absolutely do not care and allow other players to go around scamming others. There was a young boy literally running around the main city last night scamming multiple people I couldn't believe it. I talked to two other people that were scammed for 20k gold. Not everyone plays mmo's and is aware of things like this. After calling ESO the next day and waiting on hold for an hour they actually hung up without saying a word. It is no wonder this game went free to play. If this was any other company you would have spoken to a GM and that player would be banned. I don't even care about the gold it's just the principle that a company could care less about their players. I will not be spending anymore money in the crown store or buying dlc to support this company after the way my situation was dealt with. What comes around goes around.

    Well, part of the ESO subscription justification was "world class customer service". No subscription... well, you know.
    What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

    It already has been like this (what the OP described) when the game was still sub based.
    In my case, it was the customer service, too, that made me cancel my subscription a few months ago for similar reasons.

    Well, I can see that it's not great service.

    However, don't go around trying to pay for bites.

    I think there is lessons for both sides here.

    Sorry if I appear blunt, but it's a good thing support don't jump on these kinds of situations. Their time is better used fixing actual issues.

    Regarding scams, understand that there are exactly two secure ways to trade in ESO: in person, through the interaction menu (both people must confirm the trade before it's carried out) or via COD (cash on delivery) in-game mail. If what you need can't be done in one of these ways, make sure you trust the other person. I honestly don't believe ZOS are here to hold our hands when the other kids are mean.

    Hey its a roleplay game also maybe he is just roleplaying a scam artist but who knows!

    But yeah stuff like this is common in mmos and takes time to be dealt with though always unsure
