Group finder problem

Overall since the game came out, I've been in a que to join a dungeon for about 3 hours and it always says 0/4 players found. What is wrong with it?!

Might be the problem. Not enough people using it as yet due to population size since it's only been launched recently.

We've been complaining about the group finder on pc for over a year now, to no avail. I wouldn't hold my breath.

Unlike the group finder on PC, the one on console was shown to work pretty well. Again it's a population thing. Inexcusable on PC now since numerous times ZOS has said they fixed it but because everyone asks in zone chat, no one uses it. Plus there is a severe lack of tanks and healers.

So how do you do 4-player dungeons like Fungal Grotto? It works easily on WoW, I thought since it's been on PC, that it would work on console release.

I'm on XB1 and the group finder kind of feels like a mess. Not the functionality per say. I mean I get a queue pop every 30-40 mins or so (Queuing as healer/dps).

But the problem is that people don't seem to know wtf to do when queue pops. Here's how it usually goes:

1) Queue pops.
2) I drop what I'm doing and teleport to dungeon
3) Wait 10 mins for people to get to the damn dungeon
4) Only like one or 2 other ppl come to the dungeon and the last person either leaves group or just never comes to the dungeon
5) Give up and quit group.

I've only been able to complete 1 dungeon out of about ~15 queue-ups. Yep... all groups except for one just failed to gather up together at the dungeon.

Maybe they should just automatically port the people to the dungeon when queue pops. Damn whatever they are working on at the moment.

Totally agree with what has been said. The mechanics of the whole thing is bizarre.
Eventually you get put in a group.
If nobody in the group knows where the dungeon is, game over and start again.
Somebody does know but only one or two follow them there.
It should pop up with a request to transport to the dungeon.
If you are queuing for a few hours to get in a dungeon, you would surely want to get there asap. Otherwise why bother.
I just find the whole thing infuriating. The dungeons themselves are well worth doing, good loot, good fun but atm it is hard as hell to get in one.

I'm lv 41 still trying to heal the lv 34 dungeons lol. I've already got the next tier unlocked, but wanting to knock me out by level group.

Same problem except on PS4. Waited up to 50 minutes as Tank during prime time and no group. Be nice if Zeni would say they are aware of an issue.

iv tried queing for dungeons since launch and one day i started que at 8:15am and looked again at Noon still nothing kept playing looked again at 4pm still nothing and then finally at midnight still nothing..so in my experience ITS BROKEN and doesnt work...i was literally queued for 16 hours and nothing, and yes i didnt get kicked once

Group finder has not worked since PC Beta, and it's still not working. I non stop run dungeons everyday, and the finder blows.

Here's a post with Zeni acknowledging in fact the LFG tool is broken on PC. Seems they brought the broken LFG tool to console.

I'm not convinced the Group Finder is broken, just that it's not been designed or advertised very well on console.

It gets you into a group, it just doesn't flow enough to then turn that group into a dungeon run.

All sounds similar to my experience. Several days in the finder only to never go in. Finally got a group together and then I got disconnected right after and had to run it again. Four days of my ESO time into this before I got the dungeon done. LFG tool simply does not work, fastest way to get a group together is to hang out outside the dungeon. However, then you typically don;t get a proper group which from what I have seen you need to have.

I have given up on group finder!....and the Skyshards in the group delves....This is sad!!!

MMO's are about group play...this is the core of an MMO...yet Zeni has chosen not to work on this.

Suggest same group finder model as MMO called NeverWinter. In this MMO The group find feature is robust and ports you directly into the dungeon.

Would only add one other element. If no group found within 20 min player gets offered NPC players to play with to complete the dungeon/delve.

This will make for a happier gaming experience and minimize the frustration of not being able to play what we want when we want.
