Horse Questions

Hi guys,

So I'm about to buy my first 42k horse, and I need a bit more information before I choose which one I get/what to feed it.

1. How many times can u feed a horse in one skill line (Can u throw all 50 levels into speed?)
2. Does the horse's base stats count when overcharging a stat? (Will the gaited horse's base stamina mean u feed it hay less before it caps stamina?)
3. Which horse do you guys prefer? Gaited horse or light horse?
4. How much does sprinting increase speed?
5. Is it generally better to spec into stamina or speed if u want to be able to run long distances?

Any info would be appreciated.

I'd just like to point out that your horse is already level 1 when you aquire it so you can feed it 49 times.

I don't know if you can invest in the same ability 49 times but I kinda assume you can.

I've only fed the imperial horse so far and each time I fed it the stat went up by one. I'd image it's the same for the other horses so base stats don't influence this, but again I have no proof.

I prefer the gaited war horse because I'd like to start out with a nice pool of stanima. However, eventually I think I'll spec more into speed once my stanima pool is "big enough".

I'll try to answer all of that in order:

1- You can, and should, invest all your points in one stat. Spec one horse on carrying capacity, and another one on speed. Pvp is a *** on foot.

2- You cannot overcharge a horse.

3- Light horse is better, because his cap speed is higher than the other. But if you like black better, go for it, it doesn't matter all that much.

4- I read somewhere sprinting amounts for 30%. Don't know if that's right though.

5- Spec speed. Once stamina bug is fixed, it won't matter as much. And since you can't use your horse in combat, you can't use it to flee. So long distance is what you really want to overcome.

Tldr: Go speed, all the way.

Out of curiosity does 1 feeding increase speed 1%? So max speed for the light horse being 75%?

has anyone heard about adding armor to the mounts yet. Reason i ask is because if you go view the "store" you will see the pictures of that mount with a fase mask of types. i thought i heard about this once before but nothing since.

also,....how do you store items on your mount. i've added to capacity but still dont know how to add items on that mount

A circle is the reflection of eternity. It has no beginning and it has no end - and if you put several circles over each other, then you get a spiral.

How come mounts can sprint forever even when stamina has gone?

The more you feed your mount the more armor will appear on the horse.
It is a visual upgrade for you feeding it.

You don't. What happens is that every point of capacity adds one slot to your bag so long as that horse is your active mount. So ten points of capacity adds ten extra inventory slots. If you were to switch to another horse that you didn't add capacity to, you'd loose those extra inventory slots until you switch back.

So if I know I'm going to accumulate a lot of loot, say in a dungeon, I want to equip my horse with the extra capacity? Sweet. This is helpful. I'm totally going to buy a draft horse.

Did you know at what lvl the armor will start appearing? I have a lvl 12 horse and nothing yet :P

Yup. It's very handy for these kind of situations.

Just remember that you'll need to clear up that extra space before you can switch back to your faster or stamina spec horse. ;)

Based on my understanding of system - i think that we are not going to see all that much horse armors
Visuals are supposed to change by atributes you upgrade in your horse.
Carying cappacity -gives you bags and such
Speed -gives you ? some kind of atletic mount, maybe some fancy saddle cloth/saddle or even some kind of cloth blanket
    AND
Stamina -give you armor, and maybe even some heavy barding.
But who is going to go full stamina(or even few point stamina) on their horse ?

    This system is just BAD
We need something higly customizable, with slots -like LOTRO warsteed visual system

It is customizable. You don't have to invest in only speed or only stamina or only capacity. You can mix and match in whatever areas you want and your horse will reflect those choices. That's much better than having a pack mule decked out in shiny plate armor IMO.

I'm not sure. I haven't been upgrading mine yet.
It would be nice to know the different looks each of the horse go through and at what level.

Nah - if you get attacked while mounted, you just get knocked off and the horse vanishes. You can recall it after the fight.
