Help getting to The Rift PS4

sloppy_O_Shot
I was trying to start the quest to become a vanpire. I read that you would get a visit at a wayshrine after a bit. However that didn't happen. I then saw you can go to the rift and that will start it. I can't travel to that area yet. Is there anyone that could let me travel to them so I can start the quest? Thanks in advance!

To become a vampire and start the quest one of two things has to happen, 1) you get bitten by a player most likely for a fee as the number of vampires on Console are still relatively low and demand is high ( there is a big cool-down between bites)

    2) when you are high enough in level and are adventurIng around in the 40-48 zones there is a small chance that you could run into a special mob at night (in game) Infected Bloodfiends that will bite/infect you thus starting to process. These are rare mobs so once again...supply and demand.

I have the Vampirism under my active effects already.

If you're in AD there's mobs in the higher level zones there and no need to go to The Rift. But the mobs are rare.

If you stick to the road you should be fine. Theres a few Sabretooths lurking on the road or near it just over the bridge from Stonefalls but theyre pretty easy to navigate around. Simply stick to the road until you get to Riften and youll be fine.

If youre not sure how to get across the bridge. You can go around it and under it by taking the path to the immediate right of the bridges gates. This will take you under the bridge and up along a path that will bring you out on the other side of the bridge. The gate will still be locked from that side but youll now be able to travel along the road til you transition into the Rifts Zone. From there follow the road til you hit Riften.

You can walk there from Stonefalls, just walk around the castle on the right side near the dolmen and you'll be able to walk right into The Rift ...

If you're in Aldmeri Dominion, your Vampire quest will be in Reaper's March, not the Rift. The quest will start in Rawl'kha.

Open your guild roster and find a player in the desired area, then travel to them. I do this on my lowbies so that I can wait by the spawn points.

Thanks for the info! I listened to someone that googled it but guess he forgot to make sure that was for Aldmeri. I should have done the search myself. After your message I googled it and quickly found a good post with detailed info. The issue is that this.....

"Once you have the 'Vampirism' buff, you must find Vorundil in order to begin the quest line. This NPC will be located at the Wayshrine closest to your faction's Altar. After speaking to him, head on over to your local Altar."

Vorundil has never showed up at the Wayshrine. Can I go to Ushmal's Rest Altar without talking to him 1st?

Not if it was an npc that bit you.

I think this is a known bug on the consoles that NPC's are invisable. Vorundil spawns at the first wayshrine you approach after you got bit and stays there. But if he is invisable, you will have a hard time noticing him. My advice is to go to that wayshrine (if you remember) and log in and out till he is visable.

That's false information. Vorundil will appear in the zone's main city, and may (coincidentally) be next to that city's wayshrine. It depends partly on how you get into the city; if you come in via the south entrance, he'll be at the south entrance. If you got Vampirism off one of the Bloodfiends, you will need to find him in the city (Rawl'kha in your case); alternatively, if you got Vampirism off another player, you would have done that at the altar, and a different quest giver should have appeared straight away there.

This might be what has happened. I have had this issue before where all quest NPC's were invisable. You could get the prompt to show up with their name yet when you hit X (PS4) nothing would happen. Hope this isn't the issue. If so then I will have to wait the 7 days and try again.

I went to Fort Sphinxmoth Wayshrine and also Dune Wayshrine. I don't recall if I have located Raw'kha yet. I will check that when I get home. Thanks!
