Patcher not updating? It's broken?

I'm not part of the marketing team or anything like that.
But it appears as if the patcher is BROKEN.
My latest update is 28 days ago.

Any good marketer knows to at LEAST make an update once a week. Now I'm not sure if this game is going downhill, due to lack of notifications in the patcher. And if you see notifications old like a month, a year old, it pretty much says nothing new has changed... Stopped working on whatever project.

Me being smart and all, knowing this is an MMORPG and its not a dead MMORPG got a feeling there should be newer notifications but the patcher is broken.
Leads me to say, DO THEY EVEN CHECK THERE OWN $%^$%$.

Or do they make something, don't even test it out themselves, don't even monitor it, just release it and start working on something else even though whatever they released isn't appearing, its worthless whatever they released because nobody is getting it.
Well, I'm not getting new notifications and I haven't touched a thing, so its safe to assume no one else is getting it too.

You wonder why sales are down? Because you need to monitor your own stuff you market. Make sure everyone is able to see the advertisements you send out you know.

Very good marketing right here. Letting other people know this game is on the decline due to lack of notifications.
Games like GW2, they just flood you with notifications. No wonder why everyone thinks that game is so awesome. It dresses for success. It makes it appear to other people as fully active and updated game flooding you with notifications on the daily... What a true marketing team does.

BTW, I was able to click play, but due to typing up this post when I checked my patcher after I had written this....

    ERROR 209.

So if you're still trying to fix patcher. Look into stalling the patcher for good 5-15 mins and see if that gets ERROR 209 to appear. After I wrote this post. Went back to ERROR 209. So its been confirmed by me.

So there is something really really fishy with this patcher.

Last thing before I play the game, I told you guys a million times. I really really hate how this patcher STAYS/ DOES NOT CLOSE after it loads the game for me.

EQ, PATCHER CLOSES when you click play.
GW2, PATCHER CLOSES when you click play.
ESO...... PATCHER REMAINS OPEN when you click play....
    WHy???

    Why?

Haha, this leads me to ANOTHER thing FRANCIS said in his ESO review "you guys wouldn't let me play my free month unless I went ahead and attached a credit card. So you can bill me at the end of the month. OH are you afraid at the end of the month I wouldn't want you to rebill?? YOU WERE RIGHT, YA CAUGHT ME RED HANDED!!"

This patcher staying open makes me think you afraid I wouldn't play the game after I quit..... YOU WERE RIGHT. I left the game because I'M DONE PLAYING IT FOR THE DAY.

That patcher remaining open MAKES ZERO... ZERO sense at all.
Only thing patcher remaining open does it makes me ANGRY. Slows down my computer, just MORE FRIGGIN work you guys make me to do play the game.

I gotta close the patcher quickly before game starts.
I gotta log out and log back in to get stuff I bought from guild traders.
I gotta close and reopen patcher when I get errors.

SOOOOOO much stupid stuff I got to do to play this game.

CLOSE THAT DANG PATCHER after I click play.

Been an issue forever. They really need to update launcher, not just for advertising but so it is more compatible to game. We have been asking them to do this for almost a year.
