On the consoles would you like to see an option to show character names instead of GTs or PSN IDs

I know not everybody agrees with this which is why I was thinking it would be nice to choose which to see to help with immersion, as well I know if they added this option they would have to allow group invites and mail to be sent to character names instead of just IDs as it currently works.

The PSNID or gamertag should only be displayed when the player wishing to see another's PSNID/gamertag takes an extra action, such as opening up the player interaction radial menu or looking a player up in a guild roster. Guild leaders should be given the option of whether or not to display ID's instead of or in addition to character names.
Seeing all these innappropriate and immature names running around really kills it for me. Not to mention playstation players can't even change theirs and xbox players have to pay to change theirs.

I could see if friends and guild members see your gamer tag so they know it's you no matter what character you are, but players I don't know should not see my gamer tag if I don't want them too, especially considering that Sony won't let people change their gamer tags. Another point would be to at least tell us, I was in game last night and someone called me by my gamer tag and was totally confused as to how he knew my gamer tag, the game should inform us of this when we first start playing.0 -

It worries me that the devs still havent said anything about this and ignore my attempts to contact them.

That being said, a method should exist to get the PSN ID as well. Toggling between the 2 Character Names and PSN IDs would work; or if we could examine the character and see the PSN ID there would work as well.
PSN ID is required for certain features of the game, so it should be easily obtained when it is necessary, but all other times, I'd much rather see other players character names and have them see my character names.
I mean, I created an Argonian Healer that is named Lets-many-die...why do I have to keep this gold hidden from everyone else...lol...

Friends: Show Gt voice chat indicator and when grouped /guild show both in a logical way
Followed: GT only
Follower: Gt only
Guild members only: show character name (Gt still pops when voice chat is used)
Reason: In real life you only meet ppl by communicating with them rather than looking at them. This will drive different behaviors and award people who interact well with others.
BUT all of this adds unnecessary complexity so no changes is best.
