Just went through some fish, these are my results with the type of fish they are. All numbers were rounded to the third decimal place.
281 River Betty (River) - 7 Roe
94 Spadetail (Lake) - 0 Roe
71 Longfin (Salt) - 0 Roe
57 Dhufish (Salt) - 0 Roe
281+94+71+57=503
7/503=0.014
1.4% overall
Going off River Betty alone
7/281=0.025
2.5% chance on River betty
Therefore the filet to Roe ratio would have been
Spadetail=2.350
Longfin=1.775
Dhufish=1.425
Don't think it's enough to conclude that River Betty is the go to fish, it may be all River fish or it could simply be a fluke. I'll have to go work my rod to find out.

Kas✭✭✭✭✭assuming a ~1-2% chance over all fish, the 7/0/0/0 distribution you saw is nothing out of the ordinary.
i got a 1 out of about 60 Dhufish this morning. Will filet more when I'm home.
in general, this will need much more data. But tbh i except equal chances for all kinds of fish. I wonder what the final chance may be. Could be 1%, could be 2%... maybe even 2.5%. Let's see.

The day before with the same amount of fish I got three.0 -

Salmon x6 -> 0 Perfect Roe
Silverside Perch x75 -> 1 Perfect Roe
Spadetail x62 -> 1 Perfect Roe
All of this was from fishing in Lower Craglorn.
