I need help with a stolen item

If I stole an item and didn't get a bounty for it, how do I take the "stolen tag" off of the item?

If you're in a main city area, there's symbols that are half circles with lines down the center which are the rogues area that have fences who can either "clean" the item or you can sell it there.

Look for a pitchfork kind of symbol on your map. should be 1 door in town and 1 outside.

So when you clean the item, does that mean you can store it in the bank? I hope they bring out player housing, so we can display stolen stuff.
