When you were a child, have you ever been looking forward to Christmas Day just for one present only to receive socks? Or as you are now, waiting for a long awaited game to come out only to have the release date pushed back? This is how I feel every day a new patch or update comes out when I read the patch or update notes to see one thing...

SHIELD DYES!

Yep that's right. It's me again. Once again a new patch rolls out giving us something that honestly we could do without. An XP booster that can be crafted is asked for by a few and quite frankly ask by many to not come out. When you get a crowd that isn't looking to go through the work that others had to do to push their characters to the max, you might as well say do the work or play something else. Instead the devs cave to the people who are too lazy to do the work so they spend time making a potion to help people grind mobs. I thought the devs were against grinding mobs?

Yet when the entire player base that complains on mismatched shields and armor dyes, we hear crickets or "we're considering it". Realize that this is not like asking for a new feature in the game. This is asking you to deliver on your promise of armor dyes. Last time I checked, shields were classified as armor. Since we cannot dye our armor, you have delivered partially finished work to consumers. It's not to complicated to understand false advertising and I don't want to call it that. You delivered us a fun game but don't ignore the little things, it brings the world to life. So lets wake up the team that made the dye system possible and tell them to finish the job!

I rather have them fix the lag in PvP and not add anything else until fixed.

Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

That's wonky one to fix, lag will happen when ever a bunch of people are together in an area casting crap. The same *** happens when a bunch of magicka NBs spamming power extraction in trials.

If we cant fix lag, then I too want armour dyes!!

Exp pots wont help those who feel they are behind on champion points, after all the people high on the champ points will just buy the potions and be even further ahead (where you now make 100k an hour without inspiriation, they are making a million an hour)

Fixing lag can be hard considering it has a lot to do with the users computer and not the actual game. Yes the game can be bad programed and it will make you lag easier but sometimes it wont fix the problem. Just try open a editing program with little ram and a decent cpu and add a vfx to the clip, play it and your computer will almost crash. It's not the editing proram thats the problem, it's you having a too bad computer.

Everytime a lot of ppl spam a lot of abilities you should expect some lag because it's a ton of things for your computer to process and even for their servers.

Your PC doesnt process combat... the servers do. Its the only way they can be sure the numbers are legit and the packets not being tampered with. If it was done client side there wouldn't be any lag.

Your pc will still have to process whats sent to you much like when you play an offline game. As i mentioned it's a lot for their servers to process too just like you said. The servers process it. But when so much is processed on the servers and then sent to you, your computer will have to process it in order to show it. Thats why certain zones lag for some and not for others. Mainly shown as "lag spikes".

Now there's more like delay lag that isn't made by your computer such as when spells stops working but everything is else works and after a couple of seconds the spell goes off, same for other players stop moving and then teleporting. Thats the server process lag that's slow.

So it kinda depends on what kind of lag he was refering to.

I have never experiened lag in PvP. It might be my internet connection that i actually pay for, or my pc that isnt from 1997. =P

If you do it right, there is no lag. If there is lag, you are not doing it right.

The lag in pvp is one thing. It does create a gigantic annoyance at times but the dev's don't always have control over it seeing as how it depends on your connection, their server and your computer.

I'm speaking about things that they have in game that they have full control over that haven't been fixed or completed. My main issues are the shield dyes and maybe the bugs to my favorite armor style, the heavy Redguard armor. Though I'm starting to resign myself to always having buggy armor because they are completely ignoring the fact that it was bugged from the start with their supposed improvements. They can't even show a picture in the news and story updates with a character with the heavy Redguard armor on and also wearing the belt because they know the belt is an obvious glitch. I might as well say I have a magic belt buckle because it likes to get absorbed into my character's body and doesn't even attach to the belt! Must be the power of skyshards causing the belt to hover in mid-air. Add that up top of the dye problems my armor has and the shield dyes being nonexistent and it can *** some guys off because it kills the immersion in the game.

The upgrades to Cyrodiil that Brian Wheeler just posted will go a long way in reducing lag. Your own system can do many things for fixing lag, but ZoS said the problems is on their side with a lot of areas. I agree that ram helps a lot. But when any PC gets lots of small I/O, there are many areas that could slow this down.

Lag isn't always the client side. Can be network or even bad code on the server side.

I seam to lag less then most. Or at least those who yell about it. My rig have a SDD. I wonder if not SDD is one big reason why lag doesn't find me all the time.

The weapon Swap bug is not related to lag. I've seen complaints about this for months now. It happens random it seams. Pressing swap simply don't work for X time. Then boom...works.

Editing very big files local on your system does require big ram and very good CPU, yes. What is the connection by this for MMO fuctions? RAM and CPU always helps but in MMO, you have the factors of the server side and network. Neither servers or network effects your local work on a file, does it?
