Roe (xp potion fishing mat) drop rate confirmation

So all I see on these forums are people getting red-faced about the xp potion and complaining about how it is P2W. Meanwhile nobody is providing the important information: what is the drop rate on the roe, the fishing mat needed to craft the xp potion.
Is it 1 in 10 fish as I see some people in zone chat are claiming (which may be why it is only selling for 100g at the rawlkha guild vendors?)
1 in 100 fish?
How much time would you say it takes to fish/farm one roe?
10 minutes?
Is it worth the time to farm yourself, or could that time have been better spent grinding without an xp pot?
Just remember
1 roe turns into 4x50 = 200 minutes 50% xp boost time

Pangnirtung✭✭✭✭✭I was working on my Angling achievement before the new potion was announced so I had lots of worms and stuff to fish with.
I have processed around 200 fish and have yet to see the special roe. Just my mileage.2 -

Another friend got 3 after about an hour of fishing, today.
What amazed me was the turnaround for worms, guts and insect parts. Sold at 5 bucks each less than a minute in the store. Wondering how high that will go.

✭It can't be higher than 50%, roe are basically fish eggs. The rates might be lower depending on your proximity to a nuclear power plant.2 -

✭✭✭✭✭Have 200 fish in one of my characters, from when I had a go at the Angler achievements. I'll try tomorrow and tell you my drop rate for the rare ingredient, since I play in EU server and we still don't have the patch
