Transmutation

Currently, we can craft armour in differing styles. You can also change some of it to the imperial style if you have the imperial edition.

What I'd like to see is the ability to transform any set of armour or weapon into the style of your choice!

This would be additional skills within each crafting set i.e. woodworking, Blacksmithing, Clothing that you would have to input skillpoints to activate etc.

You would need to do the Transmutation at a crafting station and it would cost one (or more) trait materials along with some specialized ingredients that relate to the material and or type i.e. armour or weapon.

This way you would be able to have that set item you really liked in the style of your choice, and in my mind, makes more sense than just adding 'costume' slots like other MMO's.

Any thoughts or comments greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Vallaris Hawkwing.

This has been asked for by folks since Launch. It would be nice to change the racial style so we can match dropped set armors.

However, the Dye system can go a long way to making different armors look like they go together. And, a lot of people mix and match racial styles anyway.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

That doesn't really broach any concerns by op. Stating that you can work around the look of the gear with dyes, and that people already mix and match isn't benefitting anyone. Different color or not, it still has the same physical appearance, and there's not a way to change that. And not everybody wants to mix and match. The option to have a full, matching set is nice, because maybe I like the look of *insert boss name*'s gear, but no point in getting all the pieces because the gear you would use can't look like anything else, since you can't change the actual look at all.

Hey, I agree with the OP. I stated that.

I just offered a work around since it is probably not going to happen.
