Stealth Attacks w/ Staves

I love playing a stealth character, but I noticed that the staves aren't considered stealth attacks. Can we get this adjusted? It would still be a sneak attack if we are attacking while hidden/stealthed. The staves pretty awesome and I'd like to keep using them, but the damage from stealth attacks out does the staff. Please and thank you!

    I agree with this. If we are far away and in stealth behind an enemy, staff users should be able to do a good sneak attack.

    Don't know why they didn't put it in though. They might have thought that our attacks could be seen from a mile away.

    Do bows get sneak attacks? It would be pretty unfair if other ranged weapons get sneak attack and staves didn't...

    No sneak damage with spells only made sense in a game where spells had more damage on average out of stealth.However It doesn't make much sense anymore and it should be changed.
    It will not happen though since a few months ago ZOS has figured it out that >80% of the PC population and maybe more of the console population wants to play a duel derp +bow stamina build NB rouge or some sort of dude with BigA** Epic SwordAxe. Since the game is about "playing as you want" they decided to cater to that demographic. Enjoy.

    At least that demographic isn't severely gimped anymore. Rewind to how the game was at launch, and it was clearly obvious that magic far outperformed anything stamina oriented. I think it is a good thing that the warrior build actually has a place in the game now. I've got mage characters, but I also have the warrior and thief builds. I'd like all those builds to be functional and fun, wouldn't you?

    No I wouldn't. Not after the nerfs and lamifications of so many magicka builds and skills and with nirn in its current form in the game.

    I'm pretty sure they don't intend to 'ruin magic' as they've got a whole 'Spellcrafting' system coming out, and no foreseeable updates to weapon skills in the near future. The game is still very much leaning in the mage direction. If you want to heal, or mitigate damage nothing beats magic. Additionally, mages can get some pretty insane damage output. I think their attempt to make weapon builds more viable was warranted and necessary for the health of the game, or do you forget all the complaints on the forums about 'bathrobes and sticks' that people were making. I think a balance is needed, and it might be nice if there were an armor equivalent to nirncrux, perhaps even something that would give the bathrobe wearers a little more resiliency.

    Stealth attacks should be a benefit of stamina builds since magic builds already have enough advantages. Also, casting magic makes noise, so by that logic sneak attacks shouldn't be possible.

    Yeah the rest of Canada just learnt that lesson with Bill -C51 being passed and more than half of our Charter of Rights and Freedoms being nullified.

    Good luck, been barking up this tree since early betas. We used to be able to sneak attack with them but it was removed in a patch and never mentioned again. RIP.

    If bows inflict more damage while hidden, then so should the staves. Elder Scrolls is supposed to be about playing how you want and not being restricted. But it seems like that's not the case in this game. It seems that you can only play the set classes and if you try to go outside those classes you are being punished. I didn't know that was the direction these games were going. I thought it was going to be like all the other games when it came to your character's class and progress.
