E3: Big announements from ESO today?

Well the problem is: They have said "This Year" before, and That year passed already. We are now six months into "This Year" and still no new freaking content!!!!

I can only assume, by "This Year, they mean December 31, 2015 for the new content to be released.

They SHOULD have had a real date on it. Even if it is not being released for another 4 months or more. It would at least have given people something to look forward to. As it is, more people are going to get bored waiting for this "new content" to get released that once they leave, ZOS will be lucky if they return.

It will most likely hit all platforms at once, no corp made time deals that we know of who would for pc has is tricky with mmos...but we will see the plans soon(tm) with any luck

Consoles are main focus of things so that is safe they wouldn't want to hurt the new market.

I think they said that it may release on console a little behind the PC version. Since the PC version would not have to go through certification and what not. I am ok with that being both a PC and Console ESO player. If the delay is more than 2-3 weeks that would not be good, but I would think within 1-2 weeks.

So we saw the same thing they showed last year at QuakeCon, with the same "coming soon" (no, really this time!)

Except they showed even less this time. Not even Murkmire.

And yeah, I guess they get some people hyped with that Dark Brotherhood tease, but that's the issue: EVERYTHING'S A TEASE WITH THEM.

Will there be differences between the PC/Mac version and the console versions in regards to DLC release dates or features that are only available on one platform?
Generally speaking, we will release major updates on PC first, and console players will get the update shortly afterwards, after we pass first-party certification which takes some time (we don’t want to hold the update for PC players while we wait for that). That said, all platforms will have access to the same features and content that’s included with an update.

Last year they not only said "this year" but they put out a schedule and less than half of it was put out. lol "great news". What news? THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING NEW mentioned, well, except for a bear mount and card game...

Thanks for the info, been focusing on fallout 4 and such tonight really, has was no real big news for eso that we didn't already know about other then a more detail timeline

i don't even care if all we got was "soon" I saw a Dark Brotherhood tease, and that makes me happy. "Soon" is good enough for now.

This. ZOS had a chance to do something with this to reassure the community at the first major event after console release. They didn't. What they showed us wasn't even on a par with what we saw at Quakecon last year and that was about 11 months ago.

This is my view how they should have done this announcement

The "SOON(TM)" is pathetic!
This year for ESO should be content they have not shown before.

A roadmap with dates should be:

DLC for new zone: Imperial City
DLC for new zone: Orsinium
DLC for new NPC guild: Dark Brotherhood
DLC for new NPC guild: Thieves guild
Next major update: Including lag fixes, Cyrodiil misc, new/updated game mechanics and the 3 new main quests. New global skills. Added tradeskills features and what else is in the normal major update.

The coming this year should be:

New zone: X
New game content like SPELLCRAFTING
Champion system Phase 4
Justice system Phase 2
New features like an Arena or Dungeons
RP features like horse racing
Improved guild features
Improved/new game mechanics X

It is NOT ok to keep saying "Soon" with the same content they promised, in detail since May 2014. You give dates. SOON is new things you are working on.

Well at this point, one of the questions I have is this: If we have gotten nowhere in Craglorn, will we be missing out on certain quest lines in the newer zones from now on, or will we be lucky and just get "isolated incident" type of zones which will be considered "separate" from the main story?

It is not that it was not heard, it is that it is not news. News would have been "Imperial City before the end of June". ZOS just phoned it in for this event.

Also, we need to be clear here... Elder Scrolls Legends has nothing to do with ESO.

Not sure why people are 'excited' by the thought of Dark Brotherhood being added or even the Imperial City.
Considering how underwelming the Thieves guild is in this game and the poorly thought out Craiglorn, I have very low expectation of any potential 'new' content . Assuming it/they ever gets released. No dailies are not new content. Just authorised Grinds.

When we wanted content we got Champion system. Now many PVP campaigns are locked for one particular faction and the players are not PVPing but grinding Crack Wood cave.

I enjoyed the original game with all its bugs and bots better than the boring game we now have.

Nerf, Nerf go the Seals.
