Removing Templar Class

Should ZOS completely remove the templar class? I think this would save customers from the pain of realizing that the class is complete garbage when they finally reach VR levels. Its clear by now that they don't want to work on fixing it for some reason, so why keep this useless class in the game?

    My templar healer disagrees with you, as does my dw/bow stam templar...my husband's templar tank would disagree as well, he has a DK and likes templar better.....so No, templar does not need removed. Fixes? yes, welcome to the Elder Bugged Online....but broken skills doesn't mean throw out the baby, yada yada
    If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

    I'm talking about PvP, not lousy RPG. And even in PvE using a 5 piece light armor set (since ZOS forced templars not to use full light armor sets anymore) has proven to be fatal, in PvP heh... VR2's can one hit V14 light armor templars.

    Well that "lousy" RPG is 90% of the game, sorry for your bad luck :D

    I personally love my Templar character so no the class should not be removed.

    Also this is an RPG with some PvP, not the other way around.

    It used to be the most common way to play it until the update. ZOS forced people to explore other options so the ones who actually liked that style are screwed.

    No issues with this class. It's my favorite of all
    Perhaps the way you're playing your Templar and choices are not the best. The class doesn't work like any other buts it's by far very, very awesome class

    *all classes have bugged skills, etc

    False. Maybe you should check out deltiasgaming.com/2015/04/07/omega-templar-leveling-build/ I link simply because it has a screenshot of dps with destruction staff.

    If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

    I read the title and thought......

    WHAT!?!

    I love my Templar and she far out numbers all my other characters DPS .....

    Guess what?

    She uses Destro and Restro Staffs and wears armour suited for her current endeavour,

    I also have different jewelry sets depending on what I'm doing.....

    I also have a friend who runs a sword & board/greatsword Templar Tank he loves to PVP and I hide behind him and blast them enemies down........

    You just need to make a build that works for you BUT I assure you it can be done. :)

    I agree magicka Templar is a bit weak in the DPS department but 6k? I get 13k using my healing gear with no group buffs.

    Spell power + high magicka pool + correct champ points + correct rotations = 10k easy (mine does 12k, yes single target sustained for 2 minutes when using the power gear, when im using my heal gear i build for sustain so it drops, but you can build a magicka templar that does beastly damage)

    Youre clearly doing something wrong.

    I'm sorry but you're very very very wrong. Even though I do prefer a sorcerer to anything, a templar is still a great choice. For instance, they are the best healers, so in a dungeon they are very effective. A group without a healer is doomed.

    I'm sure ZOS won't take away my decent PvE class just because you don't know how to play it in PvP.

    Just so I can take the rare chance to agree with BlackSmurf I have to :wink:

    Favorite class of mine also. Even sometimes play it at that non "optimum" hybrid build the min/max'rs say no one should.

    I enjoy being a 2hd dps templar who can take a moment of beating if needed and still throw out an emergency heal if needed too.

    Being able to adapt and fill multiple roles on the fly even just temporarily I love as a templar.

    The Original poster my be trolling.

    As a raid leader I will not bring anything except Templars as my main healers, as they as hands down the best in game.

    A proper Templar build turns them into a healing pillar of hard to kill annoyance in PvP

    And Templar Stam DPS is killer with the right player and gear set up.

    For just a moment I thought that someone was going to point out that "priest" class is not a reasonable choice because of ES lore - this is a game that is NOT set up for the traditional paper-and-dice fighter/thief/Mage/priest.

    I was looking forward to reasoned arguments about the unique conceptions of divinity and mortality that ES has explored over the years, and the lovely ambiguity that they maintain - rarely if ever are there definitive answers to metaphysical questions in any of the ES games.

    And frankly I'd like to see all the classes dismantled and any skill line available to any player (maybe with more "restrictions" such as the unique ways that the fighters and mages guild lines get experience).

    But "I don't like it in VR?"

    Sigh.... some of the highest DPS I've seen in Vet dungeons is Templar driven. Double radiant destruction is a beautiful and terrible thing.
    Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
    Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
    Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
    Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

    House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...

    I love my Duel Weild, Heavy Armor wearing Templar. She is my second favourite character I have made and kicks total butt!! She puts my VR level DK to shame.
    Far too many characters to list any more.

    VR10 templar here. At console launch I created a nightblade, got to 22, then dragon knight and now 19. Templar seems more effective than both.
    End the tedious inventory management game.
