i on ps4 , i currently am lvl 12 i entered chillrend campaign but i dont really see other players is it the time iam playing or am i just missing something, i feel dumb because i watched alot of the pvp action on pc but i cant seem to find anybody let alone a big battle.

Is Chillrend the non vet campaign? If you are in the vet campaign the only people you will be coMing across are Pc transfers.

Keeps and resources under attack will have a little yellow graphic behind them on the map, that's usually what I look at to find where the action is.

Open up your map and look for any keeps or resources marked with fire or look for clashing swords colored by your faction.
Alternatively open up the campaign menu and look for the population of the campaigns. It could just be that nobody is really on that campaign.

thanks i believe that worked based on the queue size, i really feel stupid now, and if you dont mind what are the benefits of having set home vs guest campaign.

Home is where you fight and recieve rewards for doing so and at the end of a campaign you recieve a reward based on your participation in that campaign.
Guest, you fight and get rewards for fighting, but no end of campaign rewards.
