So tired of searching through hundreds of items - a couple of "search" suggestions

Pazzuzu

As the title indicates, its very tedious to search through my bank/inventory of 200+ items every time I need to find a specific crafting item/s. This problem could be alleviated completely by including a search function in the banking/inventory window to:
1) search by crafting item type (blacksmithing, clothing, etc)
2) have an option to block out all other item types so only the crafting items you are looking for are displayed

I envision this search function to be located on the inventory window to the right of the "name" search function which toggles the inventory by alphabetical/reverse alphabetical order.

Also, having to search the guild stores for alchemy and food ingredients is needlessly tedious (...time consuming ...and lame), since you can't refine the search and thus have to manually scroll and search through...sometimes hundreds of items, just to find one specific ingredient. This problem would be fixed completely by including a word search function in the guild store UI to cross reference searches, or just search by name. IE, instead of having to search through pages and pages listing hundreds of different food items, you type "tomato" into the word search function and it only shows items with "tomato" in the name.

I spend way too much time searching through this stuff manually, it sux. These are two suggestions which would save your players tons of time searching through item lists to find items and allow them to spend that time doing other more desirable activities in game, like playing it. I am hoping that these suggestions would be relatively easy to implement coding wise because they would integrate perfectly with the current UI/window functions and make it much easier to locate specific items.

Yep, while we are here when you are 3/4 of the way down a GS page you buy an item shoots you back to the top.

The entire banking, guild store and inventory UIs need to be looked at. I get they are console friendly (sort of) but we deserve better than this!

Actually console gets its own UI. This was built with PC in mind. I did notice that my stuff seemed to be sorted alphabetically.

Lol there is about 3 alphabets that seem to stop and start one after another in my bank.. If that was made for PC in mind good lord I already feel for our console brothers.

Console UI gets that sidebar thing that Skyrim had. Looks cool but I never fully liked it in Skyrim. I think a few extra tabs as was suggested is a good idea. Or separate sections under each tab. Crafting tab but under that have like ores, wood, cloth, ect ect. I could get down with that.

I recommend these two addons (if you are ok with using addons):

    Advanced Filters: esoui.com/downloads/info245-AdvancedFilters.html

    AwesomeGuildStore: esoui.com/downloads/info695-AwesomeGuildStore.html

The AwesomeGuildStore addon also has a search bar. The other doesn't, but just by choosing the item category you have a much better overview already.
I hope this helps, as long as this doesn't come with the default UI :-)

I seriously don't understand why we don't have a Search box in the Guild Store so we could for example type in the word Bugloss and bam, Bugloss would magically appear.

I think the point is to make looking for bugloss harder. The harder it is to look for it, the harder it is for one person with unlimited gold(you know who i am talking about) to just do a circle around all guild kiosks and buy out all bugloss, then resell it at 3x the price.

How on earth did you get 200+ items in the bank? I only have 60 - and I still end up hauling around a heap of stuff :-/
