Can't delete a character

I logged on this morning for the first time with no trouble. Everything looked so good after my less than optimum Mac graphics. I played a while and had no issues. So far so good, right? Then I wanted to see how the character creation went so I tried to delete a mule I still had but didn't need anymore. I couldn't delete. I clicked the 4 buttons and nothing happened. I logged out and back in when I had a queue of 1 with a 1 second delay (which lasted several minutes) then tried again. I still could not delete my extraneous character. I couldn't get to a help menu inside the game so I checked the knowledge base and found nothing useful. I put in a ticket but I also am asking here. What's up with delete character?

Same exact problem but on PS4 side, been on hold with customer service for over an hour, submitted ticket in game, sent email from support page, no one at Zenimax seemingly cares.

I figured it out, I was doing rb lb rt Lt in row but u have to hold them down all at once....haha I feel so dumb

Tell me about it. It's not as if that wasn't one of the ways buttons are used in a game. I felt so lame.
