So wondering whats decent solo class that strong (good survival) and able to solo 1-50 (high dps) very well and effective with zero downtime and able to kill things quickly ?

They are all quite decent and If you plan on outright grinding it won't really matter.

That being said.. I'll personally go with a Magicka based DK.

Pretty much every class can be played soloable, what with all of the potential weapon and skill trees and all. But I find that Nightblades and Templars are preferable. Templars help ensure survivability with their self-healing skills, and Nightblades are ideal if you want high DPS.

Well, I solo 50 mobs on my 2H/bow stamina Templar...

Oh, you meant LEVEL 1-50! :p

Seriously any class built right can do just fine. You might fine Templar to your liking as they get some awesome AOE abilities right at the start (Biting Jabs and the multi-target morph of Sun Fire), plus they have decent low-level class heals.

By the time you hit about level 20 though everything pretty much levels off and becomes more about gear and weapon choice. 2H is a great option, especially if you get the Brawler morph of Carve which gives you a spammable AOE that adds a bleed and puts a shield on your for every target hit.

Later you also get a morph (Rally) for the Damage buff Momentum that also gives you a big heal when it runs out, in addition to buffing your damage and healing you over time. The longer it ticks the bigger the final heal, and re-casting it triggers the heal, which is based off weapon damage and stamina unlike other heals, and crits based on weapon crit.

If you REALLY desire invulnerability you could have a healing staff on your off-bar and put Regeneration on yourself before combat, or the shield that heals (Regenerating Ward) which will bubble you and heal for the bubble amount when it pops.

Really it just comes down to adapting your ability set to the task at hand, and I have found after leveling each class to v14 that they all have the ability to do this in unique and effective ways.

EDIT: One more thing... SHOOTING STAR SHOOTING STAR SHOOTING STAR!

Getting this ultimate from rank 10 in the Mage's guild (by doing the quests and collecting all the books) should be one of your first priorities upon hitting level 50/veteran rank 1.

The ability is GODLY for AOE grinding. Pull 50 mobs, Brawler shield yourself, drop Shooting Star. Profit. Plus you get ultimate back for each enemy hit so it is ready every pull. ;)

I have one of each, on PC, all of them managed 1-50 with no issue(actually 3 of them, the NB is still getting there).....

My personal favourite is my Templar, I have found her the most capable of solo-ing the harder group based content at level, not group dungeons but Public Dungeons, Dolmens and World Bosses.

    She was my second character.

My DK is also very capable but I find it harder to decide on which skill set to run with, she was my 3rd character.

My Sorc is now just a glorified crafter, I sometimes pull her out of retirement but I made many mistakes whilst building her and really can't be bothered to fix them, of course she came 1st.

My NB.... well jury is still out on that one atm.

Hope that helps but really any class can be great if you know what your doing, I would go for Templar, my personal favourite :)

    You can reset your skills.......

Either ingame or via the Crown Store,

My Templar is also Magicka based.

    Whats causing you problems?

A decent magicka build to start. Might want to consider the Destro staff AOE though.

The 2nd bar can be thought of as a "defense" bar or a "buff bar" and only swapped to for heals or to buff then swap back. It just gives you more options in a pinch and becomes second nature to swap.

Two words Puncturing Strikes imo an absolute must, it attacks several enemies at once and it's morphs are brilliant........

My VR14 still uses it regularly.

This page might help you decide on which skills to go with as everyone has different ways of playing :)

    http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Templar

Btw as my Templar is magicka based I went with the Puncturing Sweep morph which heals as you use it......

I have high Magicka Regen and a good amount of points invested in Magicka, I can literally take down a WB with puncturing sweep alone :)

Like it or not, you really must start using your second bar. It's vital for success. This is true for almost any class and build, but it's especially true for Templars because of the diversity of abilities they have and need to draw on.

Sure, you can get by just by spamming Puncturing Sweep / Biting Jabs, but to really do well you need to bring a range of skills to bear. Even two quickbars often doesn't feel enough.

If you have a Destro staff as your weapon swap......

a quick way to level it is to try and remember to equip it as you hand in quests....

you'll be surprised how much that can level up things :)

Sun Shield too, very handy skill.

The Sorcerer used to be the solo king, but now I would roll Nightblade if I had to do it all over again. The reason? Scalability. Nightblades have a useful survival ability called Sap Essence that scales UP in effectiveness with the number of mobs you are fighting. Sorcs used to have an ability called Critical Surge that scaled like this, but then it got NERFED :'(

This seems like a good thread to ask this on. I'm still low level but have been wondering which would be best for me. I really like to be a fire mage and have both Templar and Dragonknight aimed in that direction since both have fire on their skill tree. Which works better, do you think? I need someone who has a good ranged attack since I hate to die and I fight like a girl up close. I'm much better at a sneak up and aim a deliberate first blow then go on to finish. Be kind, I'm serious.
Scura di Notte - Altmer Nightblade (gear)
Lalin del Sombra - Bosmer Sorcerer (alchemy/enchanting)
    Angevin Sarkany - Bosmer Dragonknight
Alkemene Velothi - Dunmer Warden (Morrowind)
Sanna yos'Phalen - Altmer Sorcerer (provisioning)
    Cosima di Mattina -Altmer Sorcerer
    Naria Andrano - Dunmer Templar
Luca della Serata - Redguard Templar

I would say that is a very tight, close run thing....

Especially if you include a Fire Destro Staff in the mix......

Personally I prefer Templar and my reason for that is they have a Healing skill line, so you can still heal adequately whilst using a Destro staff, I also like the Templar's ranged skills more.....

Team that with Puncturing Strikes when fighting close up and all is good.

I like my DK but not as much as my Templar :)

Of course DK's have Green Dragon Blood BUT stick up a Templar Blazing Shield(Sun Shield morph) and hit them from a distance with your 'Jesus Beam'(Radiant Destruction)......

    Very satisfying :)

Templar with puncturing sweeps (magicka based) does damage and heals you based on damage done.

here a small Guide for Templars if you are interested :)

Though all classes are good for soloing, Templar just got a strong AoE ability from the start which gets the slow pace going pretty fast :)

    Gonna ask this here
I'm thinking about creating a healer, but I'm struggling which race to pick? I hear Breton is really good for Templar, but I already have Breton character, so I don't feel like doing same area twice. So what do you guys suggest for AD or EP?

I'd go Breton for a Templar. Otherwise I guess an Altmer could work or Imperial if tanking was something you're interested in. Ultimately your Breton will explore all 3 factions regardless, so if you do make multiple characters the same thing will inevitably happen.
