I queue up as every role in dungeons tbf, I can tank through ridiculous amounts of damage, and my instant cast damage spell can hit 5 enemies at once which draws them to me
I can also DPS as I can shoot off spells that quick without running my mana down that most enemies die before battles start
I can also heal because I generally use a Resto staff as a Templar, and I have a fair few good abilities, including the one that spawns the blood cauldron that allies can use if their health goes critical to basically heal back up to full
Have I specced myself in a god-like way or something? :L

No. You have speced yourself in something that doesn't do anything well or they nerfed the game into oblivion for consoles.

Obviously doing something right as I'm generally the only player in my groups not dying whilst being in the thick of battle
Cry harder just because you suck :L

LoL. That is precious. Maybe they die because they have a tank that doesn't tank properly a healer that doesn't heal enough and a dps that doesn't kill anything fast enough all in one.

PBpsy might be putting it a bit harshly but he has a point. Pretty much all content has been dumbed down considerably from what it once was. When it comes to the 1-50 zones you can use pretty much any skills, gear and stat combos you want and steamroll through just about everything.

However as you get into veteran content you'll find that being a jack of all trades doesn't work as well as it once did. Now that's not to say you shouldn't experiment with skills, gear and stats but you should built your character around a central concept. At some point your going to have to choose what roll you primarily want to fill, be it tank, heals or dps. You can't fill every role with a single character. Trying to do so can leave you, as well as those you group with, at a serious disadvantage.

Also player experience does play a part in things.Deaths aren't always a result of incompetents or laziness. Sometimes it's a matter of familiarity and comfort. If you're someone who's been around the block when it comes to games, you'll likely have an easy time grasping the finer points of combat mechanics. Just keep in mind that for some this could be the first time they've played this type of game or possibly this is the first video game they ever even played.
