Which means pretty much no one will be playing this game in a few months, because no one plays a console game for more than a few months.... as soon as the new fancy pants console game released (next halo) or w.e you call it, people will move on.
Thats the nature of console games, you buy it, you play it, you beat it "ish" then you move on to the next game.
The days of games that are fun enough to play for years on end are gone. . . everything nowadays is made to "sell in the moment".
As it stands you have to download *** tons of mods just to "un-console" the pc version, completely unplayable UI that was obviously designed like that just to make Pc to Console conversion easy.
In anycase the primary reason 4 of my friends quit is because there is no open world pvp / reason to grind out a stronger character.
If you cant run around fighting other players, leveling, gathering gear, clearing content, is pretty much pointless/fruitless, care-bear players that want the game to be devoid of all pvp are the vocal minority of the consumer base. . . (you have more players NOT playing the game because there is no pvp than players PLAYING the game because there isnt) but pvp players just tend to abandon the boring game and move on, while care-bears keep their pve game going while spamming forums preventing pvp implementation.
I was actually thinking about just botting the hell out of TERA to get back into that game ... since accounts are free and all . .. dont really have the time to re-invest into another mmo atm.
So much wrong in this. DCUO is just one example. Launched in 2012, it is still going and recently had more content added, with much more due. It's a very active game and for pretty much the first ever console mmo, has done very, very well.
