Non-Playable Race Styles [Xbox One]

AlphaBravoKilo
Hi, I was wondering if all of the NPR style stones (or whatever they are called) are rare to find in the "early game"?

I read up on those and it stated that you can find them once you hit veteran Rank 5-10 Zones which is near End Games. Also, they are extremely rare even in veteran ranks. So no, you'll never get it in early game unless you buy the rare motifs from the crown store and also get its material stone from trading with high-level players or guild store.

The primal, barbaric, daedric, dwemer, and ancient elf style books all drop in veteran zones only.

Well.. I got myself a book via the crown store... so now I just need the style elements :/
Working on the skill points part (I think I need a particular number of points in the crafting skill of choice?)

Is it true that Dwemer motif pages only drop in veteran zones? I've only farmed them with my vet character, but I was under the impression that they would drop in any dwemer ruin. Also, I think people used to farm them in the Fighter's Guild questline dungeon until they nerfed the containers there.

You do have to be level 9 in metalworking, woodworking or clothier (the top passive) in order to read/use the pages (unless you purchase on the Crown Store).

I didn't really think about it much when they put the rare motifs in the Crown Store, but new players on the XB/PS4 that purchase them are going to have a hard time finding the materials they need to actually craft any of the gear.

You're going to have to trade with other players to get the style mats you need. At this point, it will be high-level PC transfers, as you cannot find these items in containers until you get into the veteran level zones. Check guild kiosks once they're up and running (bidding ends on Sunday, if it follows the PC pattern). Ask in chat if anyone has any they're willing to sell to you.
Another option is to purchase the hireling passive, as they send style mats in their mails and there's a slim chance you can receive some from them.

As for the number of skill points you need in order to craft the gear, this is only relevant if you found the motif book in game (as you have to be skill level 9 in the appropriate passive in order to learn the motif). This is not the case with the one's purchased from the crown store, which can be learned at level 1. There is no skill requirement in terms of being able to craft, as I had 9 points in Blacksmithing, learned several of the rare motifs, and then respecced later (for a variety of reason). I only have 8 points in BS, but can still craft all of the rare styles.

Ok, I'll be looking around. Thanks for the tips!
