    Yes
It obviously will hurt the PC population as a lot of players played ESO on PC ONLY because it wasn't out on Console yet.

For the players having a PC AND a Console and playing on both, it will depend wich version is the most fun on long term, and that we can not predict at this stage.

    Yes
The game hurts its own population, you dont need consoles to do that.
But yes there will be an accelerated bum rush to the exits because of consoles.
    ^^

People who are burnt out already will flee from pc to console to get a "refresh" last rush and dump it.

    Everyone quit to play console
Which means pretty much no one will be playing this game in a few months, because no one plays a console game for more than a few months.... as soon as the new fancy pants console game released (next halo) or w.e you call it, people will move on.
Thats the nature of console games, you buy it, you play it, you beat it "ish" then you move on to the next game.

The days of games that are fun enough to play for years on end are gone. . . everything nowadays is made to "sell in the moment".

As it stands you have to download *** tons of mods just to "un-console" the pc version, completely unplayable UI that was obviously designed like that just to make Pc to Console conversion easy.

In anycase the primary reason 4 of my friends quit is because there is no open world pvp / reason to grind out a stronger character.
If you cant run around fighting other players, leveling, gathering gear, clearing content, is pretty much pointless/fruitless, care-bear players that want the game to be devoid of all pvp are the vocal minority of the consumer base. . . (you have more players NOT playing the game because there is no pvp than players PLAYING the game because there isnt) but pvp players just tend to abandon the boring game and move on, while care-bears keep their pve game going while spamming forums preventing pvp implementation.

I was actually thinking about just botting the hell out of TERA to get back into that game ... since accounts are free and all . .. dont really have the time to re-invest into another mmo atm.

So much wrong in this. DCUO is just one example. Launched in 2012, it is still going and recently had more content added, with much more due. It's a very active game and for pretty much the first ever console mmo, has done very, very well. Never winter is building pace and now has a good following from the people I know who play it. Some people still. Consoles are only just having the power to have games that can continue on for a good length of time so more will come over the next couple of years, to generalise a market as you have done is ignorant at best. I'm going to guess outside of MMOs, pc users are exactly the same. Play a game for X months then a skyrim or something comes out and people buy that. What makes you think console players are unique?

I'm not going to bother continuing, you seem to be quite bitter and narrow minded. The use of the word care bear says it all really.

People who use terms like 'care bears' and 'noobs' in a serious context always come across as very sad and needing something else I their life other than a game.

Wanting PvE makes people care bears.... Smh

Interesting that you talked about DCUO, as that was my most recent MMO experience, which I played over two years. In their forums, there are tons of the "sky is falling", "game is ending" threads but as you said, it's been going and growing since 2012. Their PC population is roughly 30% of the Playstation console crowd, and they 'may' even expand to the XBox console now that they are no longer partly owned by SOE and are free to decide their platforms.

Thus, I don't foresee ESO having a PC player 'crisis'... as PC players were never expected to be the long-term majority, but that doesn't mean they will shaft the PC crowd either. Especially considering that coding for XBox and PS4 is much closer to PC coding, unlike what it was for previous gen consoles, so it isn't like they'd have to completely re-write anything for the PC platform. Also, let's be realistic, ESO needs all the income they can get, so they're not going to intentionally shaft ANY current or potential future player on any platform.

Of course it will, but that's sort of expected.

Yes, but not because it will take them away from the PC and add them to the console camp. It will drive PC players away from the game.

In my opinion, the console gamer (in MMOs) is like that annoying guy who shows up at a party and everyone leaves because they can't stand listening to him anymore.

Well you have to put yes bc the way you worded it. "Even by a small amount". Of course it will hurt it some as I've already seen a lot of transfers. Duh
