Why is console better than PC? :(

From what I've seen so far, PvP on console has hundreds of players on screen with no FPS drops. Perfect smooth gameplay. No lag. No annoying bugs. Players can operate their siege without it bugging out etc. All campaigns are locked during prime time... Looks like a blast in comparison to PC.

Congratulations ZOS for getting something right for once, but why can't we get these results on PC? :(

Edit: So there are annoy bugs still, and people have disconnected.

Maybe ZOS can use console data to figure out how to reduce the lag on pv. On the other hand there are no guild trains clashing on console (yet)

But on Pc you have a 8v8 or something and your Fps drops below 30 already..

True, 95% of the players are level 10 - 20. Some of them swing their sword back and forth to do damage instead of using abilities. Few of them use healing springs or any AoE abilities. Perhaps that is why the game is performing well at the moment. We'll have to see if the console performance degrades over the coming months as more players get better and unlock more abilities.

There is almost never lag on Blackwater Eu PC, even when all alliances are pop locked and fighting about the last emp keep. So I assume lag is somehow caused by the behavior of veteran rank players.

Read the marked text. Consoles running at constant or nearly 30 Fps all the time if I understood it correctly, Pc version doesn't.
You can play on lowest options and you still got fps drops, at least in PvP.

Next time I'd suggest you read everything instead of things you want to read.

Wait a while until most players have reached VR14. As you might remember, PvP on the PC also ran fine in the beginning.

I wonder if no add-ons and I am guessing no print screen button also has anything to do with the better pvp performance ?

I am having a blast with PvP on the consoles, honestly. It kind of reminds me of back in Beta when everyone was super excited just to be out there.

It's a breath of fresh air compared to the stale atmosphere on PC currently.

Last night we had a full raid and encountered several other full raids with little to no lag. (PC-NA-TB)

Everyone claims they know the cause of lag, yet there are plenty experiences I and others have had that blow all of those theories. Only thing we know is that raid size is the most consistent factor at play when we have it.

Only ZOS has the data to understand the root cause. I'd buy 10,000 or more crowns to hear the non-PR answer to all this. Sadly we may never know for sure.

This is wrong, console has the same FPS issues as PC. At least the Xbox version does. I'm going to post a video later today showing you how bad it is. It has however not lagged yet, but that's almost definitely for the reasons others mentioned, people haven't unlocked the right abilities yet.

because 90% of the players lack the ae skills or the equip to spam them as on the Pc give it 1-2 months and consoles will be even more screwed as they cant handle the graphic over kill adding performance issues to the lag problems.

Will be interested in seeing it. I've spent today watching streams with 60+ players on screen and everything running well, and talking in ts with the people playing (PS4). I think once people start spamming healing springs things will change though. :/

No hackers, gold farmers, spam bots on console. Those three things on PC resulted in changes in how the PC game is setup (less client side), to combat the hackers. End result? PvP is dead.

Also shows that heavy AoE spams is the #1 result in lag and needs to be dealt with.

Simple solution, AoEs when cast, that don't hit anything, cost 10x the magicka/stamina, or AoEs that are cast that don't him anyone results in a stun'd player similar to hitting someone with a heavy attack while they're blocking.

    C'mon, make it happen please.

u got it wrong there, the lag started after certain patch - where game became UNPLAYABLE for several days - insane fps drops for no reason. SO again it was the PATCH, nothing else - and since that time its worse and worse (it was the time when u cld oneshot vamps with silver bolts bug if i remember corectly)
