Question about using both servers

I'm on Xbox One. I have a friend over the pond from me and he's on the Europe server. I understand that any characters you make on the American server stay on the American server and same for the Europe server. Would there be any complications to me starting a new character on the Europe server so I can play with him? Will this in anyway affect the character I already have on the American server?

✭✭✭✭✭Starting a new character on the European server won't affect your characters on the NA server at all.
