I've been very patiently and kindly trying to tutor players i've grouped with in the group finder on the most basic trinity role archetypes in the 6 initial dungeons. Basically pointing out that healers should use restoration staves for magicka regeneration and sustain, how damage dealers can dodge to avoid overburdening the healer, and tanks should block and taunt.... but there's a large number of players that are just not understanding these most basic role expectations after dozens of group-wipes. I was actually surprised at the number of responses of players claiming to have never before played an MMORPG, and to no surprise these are the folks lacking these skills.
If I may make a suggestion for you Zenimax. Add a quest that teaches these skills with NPCs. And preferably early on in the leveling process. I just had a templar player triggered and furious after being told that queuing as healer as a two-handed damage dealer isn't viable and not really acceptable.
Something as simple as how to dodge a wraith's projectile attack, how to block a heavy blow and counter it, or how magicka regeneration works with restoration staves heavy attack. Could help to dive deeper and explain burning and bleeding attacks, common enemy immunities like undead bleed immunity or flying enemy immobilize immunity, or minor/major buff/debuff differences and that they stack.
