How to use magic?

I equipped the magic, but when I use the buttons for the magic nothing happens. I use the Xbox one.

Assuming it is the same on consoles as it is on PC, you have to be within range of target for abilities to work.

Some abilities are nearer than others, others are ranged.

Try running right up to a target, your skills should work then:}

Have they ever worked? I'd try relogging, that seems to be the fix for most of there weird kinda things

It only works when I'm super close, like too close I die.
This game is frustrating, I'm beginning to dislike this game.

This sounds like a console specific technical issue. Perhaps try the forums for that?

I got a sorc on PC/EU and it is the easiest class I have ever played on PvE and PvP.

Uber Easy mode.

With Crystal Shards, you can knock them down from miles away and each cast is cheaper than the one before, plus it procs.

Not sure of your level or gear, but read up on sets n stuff, and enchants on your gear.

It pays off

Have a mixture of AoE and single target skills on your bar, you will pwn the mobs no worries as you get more skilled.

The game has a learning curve, but once you got it, its easy.

The issue is that the abilities Are not performing at max distance, actually the only perform within melee range apparently.
