Is it intended for DKs to be able to Dragon Leap into keeps/ outposts?

Was just on AZ's Star. 4 DKs Dragon Leaped into Nikel Outpost, killed everything inside, and capped it. This kiiiind of defeats the purpose of siege when a group can jump into an area and cap it.

Hmm I don't think it should be doing that. Not much into PVP but I haven't ever seen that happen, and as you say, it would defeat the whole purpose of sieging...

If I remember correctly leaping into keeps is/was not intended. I believe there was a patch a few months back that was supposed to stop it. But yes it still exists and I myself have witnessed it.

Short answer is that ZOS themselves stated it is not intended.

ZOS_AmeliaR made a statement in February on the related tactic of using Teleport Strike to enter keeps - link to original comment below.

Here's the salient text (emphasis is mine):
Since this is not intended functionality, continued use of this would be considered an exploit, so please refrain from doing so. Ultimately, any method of entering an enemy keep without breaking down the door is considered an exploit. Thanks for checking!

For the armchair lawyers in the crowd, I'd say it's reasonable to assume that "breaking down the door" was meant to be "breaking down the door or walls".

I saw a sorcerer 'fly' into Keeps.
(He told me he can teach me how to do that, but I refuse. I don't like cheat.
And today I saw another one do the same thing.)

I found a NB in Keeps too.
(I don't know how he go inside.)

Yeah, as a nightblade i know i can ambush through doors if an enemy is entering the keep to get in but I feel like that is cheating and dont do it. With all these classes able to glitch inside i wonder if it's intended lol.

In most keeps you can jump on players or npcs, easy as that.
Well on most cases you need PvP passives and the siege Shield morph and I see it as using the game mechanics.
Not intended? Maybe, but it's not a bug. ;)

Is it intended? No. The evidence from this is the repeated patch notes since launch about how they've 'fixed' it and DKs can no longer leap up to keeps, etc., etc.

So no, it's not intended. The better question is, will anything be done about it? Maybe in 6+ months. ZOS is a laughingstock when it comes to dealing with exploiters, and getting into keeps/outposts without sieging is one of the minor exploits occurring in Cyrodiil, so don't expect it to see high priority any time soon (or anything else for that matter, GG pvp team, you're doing a heck of a job, just take a look at the 1st page of the Alliance War forums and glance at the thread titles to see what all of your attention, responsiveness, and work are doing for the game).

As for the topic at hand, if they can't fix it after another few attempts, ZOS will just call it a 'feature' and that'll be that.

Not for outposts, dk chains and nb teleports straight through walls is an exploit. Also scroll gate jumping, which uses the same skills is too.

Didn't say anything about doors tho.
On some keeps or ressource towers you can Ambush inside for a higher ground.
Also if you let one NB in the keep alive, all other NBs are able to join after him, if you know what I mean. ;)

I'm tired of seeing this go on for so long without anything being done. I know a certain red DK that stands in the north west corner outside aleswell just waiting for people to attempt to attack him from the top of the keep. As soon as someone comes in range, he leaps into the keep and flanks all of the players trying to counter siege. He will even just stand there and jump repeatedly to bait someone. All it takes is one pug to fall for this trick and he can cause havoc behind the siege lines.

Another time I stopped by Glademist and saw 15 siege being set up on the inner without the outer being breached. This is after we held Glademist for over two hours with the outer coming down.

This shouldn't be that hard to fix, yet months of multiple players complaining on the forums and still nothing has been done.

Quoted for correctness. As said, they have tried through multiple iterations to stop dk/nb/sorc from getting on top of walls/through doors/over the scroll gates. As far as I know all are still possible and go un-punished, but no they didn't intend for it to be possible. Hopefully these are all fixed in the not-so-distant future.

If you want to do something about it, you can record repeat offenders and send it to zos (or post it for public shaming). ZOS is unlikely to do anything punitive, but it may help them fix the problem in the future (they like recordings of bugs/exploits).

ZOS should put in grappling hooks so that all classes can enter keeps without seiging; then Dragonknights being able to waste Ultimate points doing it won't matter.

Then ZOS should go back and readjust Extended Chains so that the slightest elevation discrepancies no longer totally break the skill and Dragonknights can have a decent Class-based gap closer.

Listen at this point is it really a question? Its been 7 months... so yes in a sense xD If it isnt fixed yet may as well do it I mean look at nirn, Though personally I think nirn is cheap and bugged but if it isnt fixed within the next month I learn to just accept it.

If you opt to post it, I wouldn't do so on these forums, naming and shaming is against TOS and they're more likely to censure you. As far as whether reporting does any good? We don't know because they can't discuss actions they take against players. Your best bet would be to report them in game, with screenshots if able and that'll be the best you can do as far as I've seen.

Leaping through doors at Sej/Nikel/Bleakers is clearly an exploit and is unintended. As far as leaping onto keeps using TakeFlight goes... I do it all the time, and I'll continue to do it until told not to. The skill is called Take Flight for a reason, and theres no real way to prevent it unless they redesign every keep and decrease the range of the skill.

Getting into outposts is not intended.

But certain keeps are built where DKs can use Take Flight to get in, it's honestly not that hard to counter. Either don't stand near that edge (I mean it's like two or three spots someone has to be standing in) or use a knockback ability to toss them off. Want to go further? Fine, make it where the inner wall has to be down to flip the keep and also take any scrolls inside of the keep. Same with scroll temples, if the Gate is closed then the scroll gates are also closed. Easy fix. (Except for the coding) Also could make it where players can rez at a keep that is under attack is they are actually in the keep (certain radius). Once you jump down off the outer wall and charge out then if you die you have to ride back. Just ideas I quickly typed up.

Exactly. I don't use it to glitch into outposts, but if someone is hanging off the edge of an inner keep trying to snipe me, you can bet I'm jumping over there to them. Keep in mind, I'm burning my ultimate to get up there.
