Some mics are excessively loud in group/guild chat

I've noticed that some people's microphone output is really loud in guild chat. In PSN party chat, their volume is fine. I want to be able to communicate with my guildmates, but I would also like to not blow out the speakers on my headphones.
This issue does not effect everyone; some people sound fine on guild chat. How about volume settings for each member in chat? If X is too loud I can turn him down, but turn up Y if he is too quiet.
