I don't understand why the console folks don't have their own forums?? It's bad enough all the whining and complaining I have seen on a regular basis from PC users but now I get to see the console players whining and complaining as well? Good grief... These forums have become a haven for Negative Nancy's... Now we get to hear from Debbie Downers too?

Console related threads are dominating General Discussion at the moment, but this is expected leading up to console launch. Afterward, this matter will start to calm down, and many of the topics currently being brought up in GD will be better suited to the Support section. Platform-specific discussion won't disappear from GD entirely, but then there have been several threads about Windows 10 in here at the moment.
We won't be adding console separation for General Discussion or other sections, as most topics are platform-neutral. Splitting them up adds some organization, but the increased granularity risks redundancy and not reaching sufficient critical mass to really sustain discussion. Last February we reduced the number of forums quite a bit when we restructured, and it's been a bit help.
In situations where someone does have a platform or megaserver specific discussion, making this clear in the title is helpful. Not everyone will do this, but people will notice that this tends to make their threads more successful.

I don't think console players need to be totally separate, it just seems to me that they're posting stuff before searching the forums.

They're new. And it's only been three days. Give it a week or two and people will start learning where to post things properly. And shortly after that the people who only play for a month will stop posting things and it will get more serious.
Remember, the only real difference between the games is the UI - in terms of gameplay. So once people get used to it, there will be less requests for minimaps. Although I think they're mostly the PC transfers anyway...

They have just as much right to be here as you do. And, in case you weren't here, these forums were just as bad with PC newbie questions back in the early days too.
They were never like this. Console folks are much less used to mmorpg foibles (as a whole). They have a mmo "ignorance" that brings on very basic questions. While I'm very happy to answer them most of the time, by the 4th thread (same topic) in 2 hours I get tired of it.
I like new players. I don't like having to sift through multiple pages to find a thread I want to add to. Or like someone else said, post 10 threads in quick succession, maybe one will stick.0 -

Well it's encouraging to see that after playing the game for so long people who were there for the PC launch are still here and actively posting now.
Looks like there should be some good life in this franchise which is what I was hoping for.0 -

For sure. And don't get most of us that post here in a negative way wrong. I LOVE THE GAME. If I didn't, I wouldn't ever complain. I'd just leave. I try to be more constructive, but it's hard sometimes.0 -
